  1. Good point. But I have tried something different. I've disabled fast boot in windows and bios and so far I haven't gotten the artifact. Hopefully that will be the end of that.
  2. After just booting up I've discovered that if I replug the display port on the monitor instead of replugging the display port on the card after the artifact has appeared it also goes back to normal. Also what i have discovered is that the artifact will appear when booting with the other ports connected to the same cable. Not sure if that makes any difference.
  3. Alright, I will need a bit of time to order a new cable. I'll update this after some testing. Thanks for the suggestions :')
  4. Any ideas how to solve this? My guess was to RMA the card, thinking that it was a bad port. But it's weird. This is solely on boot. No where else. I thought that a mulfunctioning port would show it self in other applications after boot.
  5. I see. It's very strange that something would be failing. And to correct you, no it doesn't resolve it self. If I leave it be the monitor will go blank but it will not display "No Signal" message. I mean as soon as you replug the display port it shows up like normal. Could it be a hardware failure if i'm running the PC in 100% usage and it's not happening then? Wouldn't there be some sort of artifacts in games or stutters? Also, the other display ports haven't done this yet, only one of them has this issue. My previous card which was a 980 didn't have this problem with this monitor if that helps.
  6. Hello everyone. Let's start off with that I have a gtx 1070 connected to a 1440p 144hz g sync predator monitor over a display port to a display port connection and recently I have encountered a strange issue. What happens is that when I boot up the computer, from time to time, the screen throws up a strange artifact shown in the picture. However the computer boots perfectly fine. If I unplug and replug the same display port I get an image right away or sometimes after a few unplugs and replugs. If I connect it to another display port on the card I get an image immediately. And this issue is hard to replicate. Sometimes occurring after 30-40 restarts if I try to force it. When the issue is fixed I am able to use the connection without any issues. But it bothers me as it seems that something is mulfunctioning. Please help me, as I am completely baffled by this some-what harmless issue.
  7. So... when the package shipped the guy told me he fucked with the bios and highly over volted the card as well as overclocked it. I then swiftly cancelled it. No thanks. The power delivery is well worn on it even if it was water cooled. Good I acted in time.
  8. Well the prices are 60 or 70 dollars more. And on that note I'm already sweating about spending 70 dollars more plus the 280 dollars that I'm hoping to get for my 980 ??
  9. It's fine. The guy emailed me a few times and answered all my questions. He said he had them water cooled. It's still on Amazon.
  10. So I found the card going for this price and I also see 980 ti's going for similar price. I also think that the price of GTX 1070 would drop to the similar price soon. What do you guys think should I go for it?
