Hello,
I am looking for some advice in trying to stay away from a headset. I have a dedicated room for my PC (6' by 14') and i am hoping that i can use a 5.1/7.1 surround + microphone instead of a headset. Does anyone have any experience trying this? any tips or tricks in getting the microphone to not pick up the output from the speakers? Also, any recommendations on hardware? I am in the planning stages of converting this room over from an office to more of a gaming/media room, so i need to by new peripherals anyways. All the audio will be run from my PC. Are on board sound cards OK these days? Building a new PC also, so the on board sound card will be 2015 era, if that makes a difference. Sorry about the noob questions, i know little about audio thus why i am asking.
