  1. DO you think this would be good? https://www.laptopoutlet.co.uk/asus-rog-zephyrus-g14-14-full-hd-ips-144hz-gaming-laptop-amd-ryzen-9-5900hs-3-1ghz-16gb-ddr4-ram-1tb-ssd-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-6gb-graphics-backlit-keyboard-windows-10-home-white-rfb-ga401qm-hz242t3633-rfb-ga401qm-hz242t.html Or this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155840336923
  2. Hey there, I saw you on here but accidently forgot to reply, oops :/. But what the previous commenter suggested was correct, I was looking for a 14' laptop with a gpu no higher than a 60 class card. I accidently included the 16x vivobook by mistake. I ment to include the 14x. I like the look of the rog flow, that caught my eye but what is the 3050tis performance like? I use to have a 1050ti, is it alot better? Thanks for all the help
  3. Thanks for the response, honestly I'd go far to say that a 4060 is beyond my needs, I'm not going to say no to a good value laptop with a 4060 but I personally think it's overkill for what I play/would use it for. Although, it does mean I could use it for editing.
  4. Budget is within £1000 It's use case will be for university and studying, traveling abroad and light gaming with my partner (who lives abroad). I'd seen the vivo book 16x for 1200 completely new, most expensive model. My question is this: Is a laptop with a 4060 worth getting? What kind of laptop should I be looking for? Is what ive found considered to be not very good? And additionally are there any really good and well know value laptops? I remember seeing the zephyrus g14 getting a massive recommendation from ltt back in the day. Thank you! If you need anymore information just comment
  5. Appreciate the suggestion, but it did not work. I also uninstalled the audio drivers, incase it was something to do with that. Also did not work.
  6. I can't belive I have to ask for help again, but I'm struggling with installing nvidia drivers; When I initially tried to update my drivers (5.28 to 5.37) the driver failed, it had also mentioned an audio driver failing as well, so I tried to uninstall geforce experience and reinstall it to see if that was the issue. The geforce experience installer is now refusing to install onto my system, so Instead I tried to install the driver separate from the program and it still is refusing to work. (I tried to follow nvidias troubleshooting steps as well) I'm unsure how to troubleshoot this, but all I can say is that an automatic updater program popped up on my asrock z790 mobo asking me if I wanted to update my audio drivers, now I can't install my video drivers. I also can't find that same program. My specs are: Windows 11 64bit Z790 PG Lightning/D4 i9-13900KF 2x16 3200 mhz RAM RTX 3080ti Samsung 970 EVO plus 500GB Toshiba HDWD120 2TB Another WD 4TB HDD CORSAIR RM850 850W PSU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360
  7. An example is that i'm at 60 degrees with 1% cpu utilization. Its a bit strange. My temps in the bios (I spent about 4 days straight trying to fix this a while back) and the bios temps always matched up with the temps I used in the program I use. (ICUE) I knew that it was a very hot chip, I just saw afew people on afew forums saying different things and wanted to understand if I was doing something wrong, or if its ment to be like that, as in it maxes out at 95 degrees no matter what to increase the clockspeed as much as it can(?). I don''t know what the norm is. I tried to do that, but it was to no avail. I will watch this video to see if I was doing something wrong and adjust accordingly. ALL games hit 95 degrees. Idle it sits around 60 (1% ultilization). What do you mean what plugs did I plug in? this was a while ago but I only had one motherboard usb header so I could only plug in one sensor I think I've seen these mentioned twice now, I think i'm going to have a look then because it may be a seating/contact issue. I'll have a look. I have taken off and put back on the cooler multiple times in the past and it hasn't seemed to make a difference. I just want to know if the performances cores utilize thermal headroom as much as it can to increase clockspeeds as far up as it can. Thank you
  8. I have consistently had issues with my i9 13900kf. When I upgraded, I had an h150i pro (cooler) but apparently it wasn't seated properly onto my motherboard (apparently it was incompatible with the particular motherboard I had), so I bought a new cooler to fit the new motherboard. It always hits 95 degrees no matter what I do, and I stutter in games and my OS is overall slow and sluggish My specs are: Windows 11 64bit Z790 PG Lightning/D4 i9-13900KF 2x16 3200 mhz RAM RTX 3080ti Samsung 970 EVO plus 500GB Toshiba HDWD120 2TB Another WD 4TB HDD CORSAIR RM850 850W PSU New cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360
  9. I was looking between the zenbook Pro duo, or the zephyrus g14 1660ti version. Do you guys have any experience with the laptops? I'm looking at taking it around quite often as a work laptop and also playing games on it.
  10. I also do video editing sometimes as well and I saw on linuses duo video that it is very good for editing as well
  11. I'm going into my next year in university in a unique situation, I'm going to be going to my girlfriends house alot as well as doing alot of traveling to uni (hopefully) she lives with my friends and I want a laptop that I can take to uni and play games. I was looking at a zenbook Pro duo or normal duo, but one has an mx250 and one has an rtx 2060. I was also looking at a zephyrus g14 with the new ryzen mobile cpus. I really like the zenbooks because of the dual screens and the good specs. Thoughts?
  12. I was looking but I'm afraid it ticks all but a gpu, which is rather important for the gaming component. Finding a laptop with ryzen plus a dedicated gpu and touchscreen is starting to be very difficult After looking for a while I have to agree. The g14 is the only laptop I can actually seem to buy at the moment.
  13. So i'm starting my next year at uni and I really need a laptop that is light and portable, but capable of light gaming. At the moment it would be silly to get anything other than any of the new 4000s laptops that are coming out but is there really anything that suits the criteria? I have seen the g14 and thought it was amazing but its lacking in touchscreen functionality, its very useful for me because i tend to draw quite alot and its very useful for note taking. Any ideas?

    Old Bose QC 2

I liked the simplistic style, i liked the closed cup, I liked having bluetooth, but i also want some extra features like on one of the samsung headphones where you can hold your hand to your right cup and lower the music. I mean just some recommendation on some more modern headphones

    Old Bose QC 2

So i've had my bose headphones for about 3 years now, and they're quite tattered and worn out. What are headphones that are better than the Bose QC 2s? dont worry about budget
  16. Yes, I also have a gpu separate I could put in
  17. If you were going to build a barebones pc, what exactly would you build for £125-150 or is there anything you could recommend on the market prebuilt
  18. Sorry this is so late! I didnt realized you actually wanted MY help, feels nice to be wanted lol. If you haven't gotten the card already, its absolutely fine to mix gpu and mobo branded hardware, but it primarily goes on a case by case basis, for example you shouldnt mix RAM because -depending on the type- you could severely limit your performance, E.G ddr3 with ddr4 kits or issues with dual channel. but putting different branded GPUS in your system are no problem, and I actually have the MSI TRIO and its amazing. But Strix is absolutely fine as well, just go with the cheaper one as OC cards tend to only have a small increase in clock speed that its almost not worth it. But yet again its all up to you man. I wanted performance so i went high, and thats just me, So who am i to judge? btw different third partied cards dont really deviate all too much, even in terms of reliability they just kinda add on their own cooling and maybe an OC but thats about it so don't take too long deciding as its not a big difference usually. -Ru5h
  19. So i'm looking for a 1440p 144hz monitor preferably between 24-27 inch. I'm not sure which one to go for, i'm aware that the acer is an IPS panel with 1ms response time and good colours, but has some ghosting effects, and the iiyama has meh colours but has little ghosting, but i'm not sure HOW much or if its really that bad. Could i have some advice? Cheers guys

    1080p or 1440p

I have a 60hz 1080p panel and a 144hz 1080p panel, but I upgraded recently (see signiture) and was gonna try and go for a curved 1440p 144hz monitor or a normal one.
  21. Thanks dude. I've had this RAM for a year and haven't known this, I don't have to upgrade for a while now so cheers man. (it worked i just did it)
  22. My RAM is: Corsair CM4X8GD3000C16K4D
  23. Do i do that in the BIOS? Can RAM go over their advertised speed?
