  1. Sorry for the late reply, i'm in exam season. I've got a clip of BF1 but on the first italian mission (forgot the name). The Hellfighters mission was hard to show the problems due to the screenshake and explosions. At the 16 second mark, you can see that the graves pop in and out when I zoom in and out. similarly, the building's texture flickers between poor and good quality. However, i feel like the best evidence I have that my issue is something to do with my PC rather than the game itself is GTA 5. in the clip you can see shadows, buildings, rocks and so on, either pop in or improve in quality as I fly near them. For BF1, graphics were on high and for GTA, essentially everything was max/very high. Thanks for helping, appreciate it.
  2. I've got a video of BF4 showing off some of the problems that I have. It's not the best quality but you can definitely make out the problems im encountering. The issues in BF5 and, im sure if I had in installed, BF1, are extremely similar. Thanks for the help.
  3. Thanks for suggesting this but unfortunately, none of these have worked. the only other idea I have is that it is a motherboard issue, such as a bad PCI-E slot.
  4. Hello, Around December last year, every game that I play has at least some LOD issues and some games have pop-in issues. For example, in BF4 and BF5, red barels, fences and sometimes even buildings dont load in until I get close enough. it's seriously distracting and I dont know how to solve the issue. I've tried different GPU's, Reinstalling windows, different OC's on both the GPU and CPU and i've tried loading my games on a different SSD to see if that was the issue. Temps look good on the CPU and GPU and other metrics such as memory usage look normal. Here are my specs: CPU: I7-6700k @ 4.5Ghz MOBO:MSI z170a gaming m5 GPU:EVGA GTX 1080ti SC2 Cooler: NZXT Kraken x62 PSU: Corsair RM550x SSD's: 525gb MX500 (Boot drive), 1tb Samsung 950 evo. The only hunch that I have is that maybe a bigger PSU could help. From other threads I've read, people have recommended swapping PSU. If anyone knows anything at all, that would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  5. So I've had some issues with my XPS 13 recently with the cursor being jumpy so I decided to reinstall window and begin a new. Recently I updated my audio drivers back to realtek and I found that these drivers are what's causing the jumpy cursor. So I was wondering if there are any good alternatives to realtek or Microsoft High Def Audio (MDHA has too much static when headphones are plugged in for my liking). Thank you.
  6. Yeah OK, it seems i'm being a bit over dramatic then aren't I. I think i'm gonna get another laptop however as the coil whine is a bit of a pain but thanks anyways
  7. No, ive made sure. its coming from the type c ports and from the back of the vents on it. the speakers just have a sort of "breeze" sound which is normal but the static sound I mean is very crackly and poppy
  8. So I got my XPS 13 9370 a few days ago and I gotta say i've had some trouble with it. I'm not sure whether i'm being overly worried but whenever I have the laptop plugged in and charging the temperatures get really hot and the fans kick in. Another, more concerning worry is that the laptop is making a staticy noise both when the charger is and isn't plugged in, though it is much louder when the charger is plugged in. I was thinking whether i should ask for a replacement/refund or should I just keep it Thanks
  9. Thank you
  10. Dumb question, but if I wanted to plug a monitor into my XPS 13, would I get a type C to Male or Female DP? I'm not bothered about it being active either as its going to be getting plugged and unplugged a lot.
  11. everything to my knowledge is up to date, OS, intel HD, killer wifi, firmware and precision.
  12. So I just recieved my XPS 13 (I5-8250U, 8GB, 256GB, 1080p) 9370 yesterday and I noticed a problem with the mouse not so much lagging but stuttering and jumping whenever I move it. I've also noticed that this issue only occurs after using the laptop for a duration of time, not always When it is first turned on it is nice and smooth but under some circumstance (either some certain app or what I am about to talk about next) it becomes more stuttery. I think this is linked to the fact that my idle temps of the laptop are hovering around 45-55 degrees, if im lucky 40 at tops (or should I say lowest). I've never owned a laptop before but surely this is too high when IDLE. I dont do anythig intensive on the laptop, I only casually browse and watch videos for now. I've attempted undervolting to minimal success and repasting is a last option. Thanks for the help
  13. I'm assuming that this is a problem on NZXT's side as CAM has always been some of the worst piece of software i've ever used. it never seems to detect my devices and is always having problems like this. i've sent them a ticket so i'll get back to this after they've replied.
  14. Update, the error message is "redis server went away" not "redis server maxed out". still not closer to fixing the issue
  15. So I booted up my PC as per usual when I get an error message on cam software saying "OOM commmand not allowed when memory > 'used memory'". After doing a bit of digging I see that this is an issue to do with redis as one time when I booted CAM an error message along the lines of "redis server maxed out" appeared. What I am confused at is that I have never installed redis on my computer nor have heard of it prior to this so am confused on how to fix the issue. I think in order to fix the issue I have to download redis and increase the max memory? Just to be clear I do have enough RAM at 16gb clocked at about 3000Mhz (can't exactly remember) Thank you.
