I get it, thank you naeaes! If that's the case, what if I buy Sound Blaster Omni external sound card to keep the connection digital. Will that work or is it a waste?

Recently I bought Steelseries Siberia 800 thinking I have Optical out port on my PC, but apparently not. I'm currently connecting the transmitter to my pc via USB but I want to utilize the Optical connection. My pc use MSI Z170-A Pro motherboard (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z170-A-PRO.html) and have all the analog port but no digital audio port. What should I do to connect the optical to my pc? I'm quite newb in audio, do I need to use DAC like Sound Blaster Omni or something like that? Thank you.
