  1. I'll be using it for the obvious stuff like for media (youtube, music..) and some light gaming from time to time. I also like taking photos so the camera needs to be nice, this is why I'm looking into the S8 because its camera is (or at least was when it came out?) pretty great and performs very well in low light (as opposed to the Honors who are pretty meh in low light).. Autofocus needs to be fast and since that pissed me off on my last phone with how slow it was.. OIS is preferred but I guess I can live without it. Apps have to launch fast, and I'm a heavy multitasker and hate when apps restart when you try to multitask.. Water resistance is neat but again it isn't a deal breaker for me. that's all I could think of rn.
  2. Hey all, I'm looking to buy a midrange android smartphone; I think the new Honor 10 is pretty interesting, but I can't decide between that and the Honor View 10 and especially the Samsung Galaxy S8. What do y'all think? Any thoughts are welcome. If you have another phone in mind lemme know! Thanks
  3. I have an Asus G502-VT-FY090T laptop. It has an 128gb SSD and a 1Tb HDD. Since yesterday i've been hearing a constant clicking noise coming from it like "tzzt tzzt tzt tzzzt tzt", i restarted it a couple of times and it won't stop. It happened once a couple of months ago but it was just a one time thing and had stopped since.. anyway this clicking isn't loud but every now and then a loud "CLUCK" noise is heard. I got suspicious that maybe it's the hard drive so i donwloaded both HD Tune and CrystalDiskInfo. both are giving me a C5 current pending sector warning on the HDD. (See attachments please) those numbers seem rather large but I wouldn't know, what's happening exactly and what should I do?
  4. Did you get used to it? Whenever I watch a movie I keep looking at that spot it's so fucking distracting
  5. Is it yellow in your case too?
  6. The picture makes it look worse. In reality the only spot noticeable is the yellowish top left one
  7. No it doesn't change no matter where I look at it. It's noticeable always in the same top left and is kinda yellow
  8. Hey guys, I just bought an Asus rog strix gl502vt for 1300€ and I noticed a little backlight bleed in the top left corner. It's only noticeable with a dark/black background .I haven't owned many laptops so I don't know if this is common. Should I return it? I'm worried the replacement will be worse or something. Also does it get worse with time? (btw it looks worse in the picture I took it with my phone)
  9. 1300€ is 1450$ but it's probably cheaper than that in the US. In France stuff costs more
  10. https://www.amazon.fr/gp/aw/d/B01D4IK6EE/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_147_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=GG7D1B1DJ2CAGYJAPZNG#featureBulletsAndDetailBullets_secondary_view_div_1472421307795
  11. Yeah there are always compromises with a budget I'm afraid. Anyway if you got anymore money there's an Asus with i7 6700hq, 8gb ram, 1tb 7200rpm HDD+128ssd, gtx 970m 3gb VRAM, weights 1,9kg going for 1300€ on Amazon France. Hope i helped
  12. There are some great laptops on Amazon with a 970m which is loads better but they cost +1200€
  13. Hey all i was just wondering what you guys think about Asus? Are they durable? I'm looking into some +1200$ models for gaming, video editing and other activities and I want it to stay with me for +5 years. Are they durable?
  14. There's the Acer aspire V nitro. I'm looking into it as well but I'm hesitant because Acer has a reputation for being shit.
