Final check on my first build!
PigenatorPie replied to PigenatorPie's topic in New Builds and Planning
The 750 Evo is 14£ more expensive, and I don't really care that much about speed. I might go with the 1x8 ram, but isnt that slower than 2x4? -
So, I am about to build my first PC, and I am pretty sure I have a good build in mind, but i REALLY dont wanna mess it up so that's why im asking the awesome LTT community :D. This is my part list: CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: Asus H110-PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 470 4GB Video Card Case: Corsair Carbide 400C ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-10-01 12:12 EDT-0400 (I removed prices because I live in Sweden and only a few of the PcPartPicker merchants deliver to here, but It's not prices i need advice on) Does anyone see any major problems with this build? And the two things I'm not sure about yet: GTX 1060 3 GB or Radeon RX 470 4GB? The 470 is about 15% cheaper here, is it worth it to spend the extra money on the 1060? (And please no fanboyism, i want the objectivly better one) What motherboard should i get? I wont be overclocking so I dont think I'll get a Z170 or a H170. Should i get a B150 or a H110, and if so, should i go for Atx or save a little money and go for mAtx? Now of course, thoose two things depend on what i will do on the computer. I won't overclock. I will not get a second graphics card, and i don't think ill do anything that needs more than 8 GB ram in the forseeable future, but I wanna be able to play games like Overwatch at high resolutions on 1080p with 60 fps. If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know! I want this to be a PC i can be proud of

What motherboard should i get?

Ok, thank you. So i can basiclly get the cheapest lga1151 ddr4 on amazon and i will be good? -
So, im gonna build my first pc, but im not really sure what motherboard i should get. I won't be overclocking, and most likely wont get a second graphic card. Theese are my parts: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor (£163.39 @ Kustom PCs) Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory (£37.76 @ More Computers) Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£38.97 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£42.99 @ Ebuyer) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 470 4GB Video Card (£169.98 @ Ebuyer) Case: Corsair Carbide 400C ATX Mid Tower Case (£82.98 @ Ebuyer) Power Supply: Corsair CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit Total: £536.07 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-09-13 20:52 BST+0100 Does it matter if i get an ATX board or can i go for a smaller one? What should i choose?

So, i've changed a few things. I switched out the z170 for the h110 and i swapped the hdd+sdd for a single 500GB ssd. I dont think ill need 1TB, but if i do i can always buy it later. I know the rx 470 will run the games ill play smoothly, and i dont need a better cpu than the 6400. Is there anything else i should think about? Also, here is the updated list: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor (£163.78 @ More Computers) Motherboard: Asus H110-PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£67.49 @ BT Shop) Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory (£35.99 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Sandisk SSD PLUS 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£94.97 @ Amazon UK) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 470 4GB Video Card (£169.99 @ Scan.co.uk) Case: Corsair Carbide 400C ATX Mid Tower Case (£89.99 @ Novatech) Power Supply: Corsair 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£42.00) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit (£84.00) Total: £748.21 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-08-25 20:10 BST+0100 On amazon all of theese parts together cost £733, and i think this is what ill be going with. Have i done anything really stupid here or does this seem good?
-
Nah i only wanna run overwatch and similiar games at 1080p
-
Hmm on amazon it costs £40 more
-
Thanks
-
I didnt use pcpartpicker for price reference, i used it for a conviniant way to show wich parts i was thinking of and tht they were compatible. For price i have an amazon shopping cart
-
What would you suggest instead?
-
I live in europe and will most likely buy the parts from amazon.co.uk or something like that, so go there for reference prices
-
Thanks, but i have no need for 2 TB
-
No, not really.

Hello everyone! So, im planning on building my first own PC. I have a budget of about £800 (or less). I will be using it mainly to play games like Overwatch and MOBAs so i dont need a super expensive GPU. I do however wanna run them on the highest settings at 1080p, so i want something decently good. Right now im thinking of an RX 470. Can anyone reccomend a manufacturer? (Also, i wont be overclocking). The rest of my planned build: PCPartPicker part list Is this a well balanced build? Do you have any tips ro make it better or cheaper without sacrificing peformance? Is there anything else i should think about?
