  1. I bought a Zotac GTX 1060 amp edition to put into my Alienware Graphics amplifier. But as read the box the minimum requirements for this card say 400 watt power supply. The graphics amp has 460 watt power supply but the label for "Graphics card support" says it can do cards with up 375 watts. Can I get away with a 25 watt deficit or should I return it and get something else? It's taking so much control not to tear open the package so any help you can provide would be great.
  2. Wow i didnt even think of that. I know they arent the same just must slipped my mind. The D3 is on a USB port on the computer itself. Sounds like i cant input into the D3 either then.
  3. My monitor is connected via HDMI. the monitor has a built in 3.5mm. Even when i connect the head set to directly to the monitor via the 3.5mm, i still dont get a recording device showing.
  4. I am using an Alienware Alpha R2. It is connected to external monitor with a 3.5 jack but has no built in microphone. The Alpha doesnt have a 3.5 jack but i connected a Audioengine D3 to it so i could connect my Hyper X headset (with microphone) to the Alpha. I have checked the drivers for the D3 in device manager and it says that they are up to date. I have gone into the Sound menu by right clicking the "speaker" icon on the bottom right and selected recording devices, then right clicking in that menu and making sure that "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices" are both selected and i dont see anything there. I have also tried connecting my Hyper X headphones directly to the monitor and i get the same result. No recording devices show. I cant think of anything else to do. Any help would be appreciated.
