Te Steelseries 6gv2 should last quite long since it has metal plate so it will stand a lot of damage(eg. Getting knocked around in a backpack, getting dropped) but to be honest most mechanical keyboards should last over 8 years if you take good care of it.

I'm thinking about getting the daskeyboard 4 professional or the Ducky Shine 5, I like the look of the 4 pro but I've heard very good things about the Shine 5.
