  1. I recently upgraded my system. Previous components, 3900x trident Z neo 64gb 3600 msi Meg ace motherboard Msi 6900xt evga platinum 1000psu. I upgraded to, 7950x asus strix x670e-f gaming trident z5 32gb ddr5 6000 rest of components are the same. when changing the components I formatted my drives, did a fresh windows 11 install, all drivers and bios update. Only running 2 sticks in the asus recommended slots. I am getting random crashes. No error codes no warnings or lock ups, the system just powers down. Not task specific, could be gaming or sitting in desktop. I’ve tried leaving memory at out of the box speed, no overclocking cpu, tried docp, auto, and manual. I have watched cpu and gpu temps, nothing above 70c while gaming. I have re seated Cpu and cooler with new paste. Still same issue.
  2. Yeah I am sure more voltage might make the advertised speed achievable, just never experienced a kit that had stability issues with just xmp/axmp
  3. unsure, didn't touch. Bios says limit 1.35v
  4. I recently upgraded my 3900x system with a 64gb kit of trident Z neo. This kit is the advertised 16-16-16-36 timings at 3600speed. The system was wildly unstable at said advertised speed and timings, but runs flawlessly at 14-14-15-36 3466. Just unlucky with one of the dimms?
  5. @MiguelTC The 5600xt will MOST likely be fine for 1080 most games. 5700xt will play 1440p fairly well so maybe future upgrading monitor is a possibility.
  6. Managed 7702 with 4500ccd1 4400ccd2 1.375V just for testing Daily usage score runs 7200ish 4.2 all 12 core @ 1.215v
  7. I decided to build my first Ryzen system. 3900x Fractal s36 Msi Ace x570 trident Z neo 64g 3600 16-16-16-36 Sapphire pulse 5700xt ( a monster for whatever 1080 gaming I will be doing) 256g sn750 Wd black nvme for boot 1tb wd sn550 nvme 1tb Wd 2.5" ssd 2x Wd black 2tb hdd Evga 1300 g2 Fractal R6 I managed to hit 4425 die 1 and 4350 die 2 at 1.37v Daily usage it runs 4200 all 12 at 1.215v
  8. Ive helped some friends and family with some but mostly part choices and some cable management. I had a prebuilt that I added too before this. So technically this is the first ground up system for me personally!!
  9. Yeah going to flip the radiator fans, as the intake filter is on the front of the case. Only a couple cables to manage after doing so. Just noticed that from another response XD. Like I told him 3 hours of sleep and anxious as all hell to get it done I completely overlooked that.
  10. Spent quite a bit of time picking each one. Wanted 8700k instead as a place holder for 9 series, but 8086 was on a massive sale for 20 more than 8700k, s36 has built in fan hub and a super clean look for block. Hard to beat ML fans. The maximus X code is by far the best looking z360 imo so that was easy.
  11. Holy crap I feel bad, they are supposed to be. Got 3 hours of sleep before parts got delivered was sure to make a mistake somewhere
  12. Only if I drive up there so you can delid it
  13. I am very very proud of my first actual build. Rather than upgrading a prebuilt I finally made my own choices. 8086k 32gb corsair vengeance Rgb 3200 Asus maximus X code Fractal s36 aio 250g m.2 870 1tb evo 860 ssd Nzxt h700 black/blue Corsair ml120 x6 Corsair ml140 x1 Cable mod pro kit Sata sleeved cable Corsair Mlpro blue fan corner replacements Ftw 1070 is a place holder for rtx 2080 Choice for rtx 2080 is I game in 1440p which theoretically should be perfect. Any thoughts or suggestions as this is my first build from scratch?
  14. This laptop has a pcb board that the drive plugs into, then between 2 screws that hold down that pcb there is a solid set of pins.
