  1. Nvm i fixed it, truly an apple/samsung move with what nvidia did. I just rollback 1 driver update, currently on august so I roll to July, and boom, FIXED. Meaning, this is the last update for the nvidia drivers till 3000 series comes out
  2. Thanks, I'll try using the previous gpu driver and see how it goes. If it doesn't work, then I'll try Windows version rollback
  3. just my gpu driver isn't the latest, the july update, would that be the issue?
  4. well in my old ssd its also 2004, the latest windows, so that's why I don't know what else is missing...
  5. i thought new clean install is the way to go?
  6. Hey guys, I did a clean install of windows 10 on a new ssd with the latest update of windows 10 and latest nvidia gpu driver. Test out the game that I always play and I lose around 30 fps, before I was hovering around 60-80 fps. I switched back to old ssd and fps maintained between 60-80 fps. So right now I'm at dead end, what should I do?
  7. Also just did furmark rog edition, running 1440p benchmark and got 4464 points (74 fps). Is that normal?
  8. Specs: I5-8400 Asus Gtx 1070 Adata sx8200 pro X2 Gigabyte H370n-WIFI Asus VG27AQ Hey guys, a little problem here. Just today I upgraded my storage from wd green and seagate SSHD to 2 adata sx8200 pro. Fresh install of windows and up to date drivers. Main game I play is MHW:IB. Prior upgrading storage,my fps would hover around 60-70+ and my temps would hover around 60-70. Now after storage upgrading, my fps doesn't reach that high, it will go around 50S in main menu and max 30+. Gpu utilization at 100%, memory 22%, frame buffer 16%, video engine 0% and bus interface 68%. Cpu between 12% to 20%. Temps would be in the 40s, thats like idle level. Boost clock 1911 mhz, memory 4007 mhz and video 1709 mhz. Those numbers are very high and my fans, before upgrading would run like jet engines, now its just a soft whirl. I did the nvdia max performance preferred part. Wondering what else I am missing? Mainly use for gaming, if can't game then whats the point. I don't think its the storage issue so must be something else.
  9. Ok seemed like I solved to spamming on issue. Did a clean install of windows and installed programs 1 by 1 instead of going 2 at the same time as first try. It probably had issue cuz of that. The second issue, well I can't do much until wait for it to die by itself, so I have to backup all files on PC unless I don't need it anymore. Hopefully it will stay alive at least till end of year
  10. I meant by that, I have to turn off the psu switch cuz if not, there is no display. You are using nvme as well?
  11. Current Specs: Intel i5-8400 Gigabyte H370N-WIFI Asus GTX1070 Silverstone SX500-LG Cryorig C7 Hyper X 2 x 16 2666 Mhz Adata XPG SX8200 PRO 2 TB x 2 Node 202 Hey guys, this morning I just installed the 2 nvme above replacing my WD Green 240 GB (OS) and Seagate SSHD 1 TB (ETC). New fresh Windows was also installed on 1 of the nvme. I ran into 2 issues. First, does it take really couple of tries to turn on the system? I was cleaning my PC before installing the nvmes so after cleaning, installed both nvme then windows on 1 of them. It takes a couple of tries to turn on the system, swapped both sticks around and even clearing CMOS. My WD GREEN doesn't have any issues booting up, just 1 press of ON button and then straight on. Don't know if this is hardware erlated or software related. Second, I'm not sure whether this is tie into the first but NEW drive should have total host reads and total host writes be 0 or at least less than 1000 GB right? After getting into windows and setting up everything, I launch crystaldiskinfo to check and the numbers are just so damn high. Even my Sandisk SSD doesn't write that high. I went to the shop that sell the nvme in the afternoon and they check I was the first buyer. From the supplier, it went to their branches and I was the first customer that bought it. They said this isn't claimable on the warranty side since only software related ( blue screen, unreadable, corrupt, etc) can be claimed, not hardware issue. Got 3 years on this nvme, so lets hope it lasts. With these 2 problem, I'm feeling 50/50 about installing all my games and transferring my series/movies. If it corrupts, all gone. Need your suggestion on this. Thanks
  12. Yeh it's quite noisy with gpu fan at max rpm while playing games. Maybe cuz the gpu is old and have to work harder to keep itself cool and outputting the performance I asked for. Yes it's standing up. Both actually, just want it to be smaller in overall size so that less space it will take when it is inside the bag
  13. Alright, then I'll just probably stick with the C7. The case fans is settled. Just out of topic, I prefer to go way more compact case. Do you think I should change the case to Dan A4 or Ghost S1 or any similar sizes? Would the thermals increase with those cases? The reason I get node 202 cuz of it was the most compact at that time and now that I've found out there's even more smaller, I want to get to reduce the pc cases taking up my desk space and max portability.
  14. But does it help in the long life of the component? I mean if there's no giant leap between my 8th gen and whatver gen in next year or so then I won't upgrade and I want to keep my cpu alive until there's a giant leap in architecture
