  1. Yea, i get what you mean. Funny enough my contract runs out in March 2020, right as the new lineup come out, it's just that there is some decent deals going on at the moment given the time if year, and my provider are offering to pay of the remainder of the contract to upgrade now
  2. Currently, my current contract is about to wrap up, and currently have the Galaxy S8 with 15GB data. I want to keep with samsung, and have weighed up my options and narrowed it down to the S10+ and the Note10+. Current prices for my network provider, i can get 90GB Data( offer is on w/ get 90GB for the price of 30GB) for the S10+ at £55 p/m or With the Note10+ (5G Version is currently cheaper atm than normal Note10+, with deal of £200 of the device plan) can get 30GB data, for £54 p/m. Which do you think is the better option?
  3. Yea they're using C# for their new modern platform there developing, since alot of the old stuff is still SCL language and like noone uses it lol
  4. I started my IT Apprenticeship back in early January doing software developing at Fujitsu. They have their own way of dealing with the software they use, as what they use is like 40 years old, so having to learn knowledge that spans over 40 years, which is quite daunting, but I'm enjoying it so far. Managed to travel all over the country and even had a trip to Belfast for a week. I feel like ive settled in the work environment, coming straight from college, and its just the beginning for me.
  5. Oh, and FE would mean 'Founders Edition'. That's what is sold on Nvidia's website.
  6. Well here in the U.K the prices of GPU's are coming down . RAM prices are still stupid i agree, but GPU prices are better now than what they were a few months ago
  7. I second Darkseth's comment. The difference between them are a couple of Mhz. I'd look at what is available in your area and then choose your preferred brand, or even which ever is the cheapest.
  8. I would personally vouch for an AsRock motherboard, but yea from the choices you've listed, i would go with the ASUS board. Probably the easiest BIOS to navigate
  9. I believe that your motherboard has a UEFI Bios, so you can update it directly from in the bios. There will be an update from ASUS soon for when the 2nd Gen Ryzen's launch, so just keep a look out for that. Though you would need a current ryzen processor in the motherboard to do the update. As getting one of the new ones and plopping it in wouldn't work before you update.
  10. No problem dude . When you boot into the bios, you can update it directly from there, so yea I'm on Ver 1.80. If you are planning on just keeping it at 4.7ghz, you could then slowly lower the voltage. that's what i did, I started at 1.25v and worked my way down. Funny enough, I've just upped mine from 1.21v to 1.22 on 4.8Ghz and its pretty stable.
  11. I don't know much about the cooler, but i can vouch for the motherboard you're using, I have it myself I haven't come across any issues with it, the bios is easy to use and setup an overclock. There is pre-set overclock profiles, so you could use them, thought they have voltages set way above what they could be for less. For other coolers, I would consider looking at some of these: Noctua NH-D15 Dark Rock Pro 3 CRYORIG R1 Ultimate I have the 8700k at 4.7Ghz at 1.21v and I'm happy with it. Expect great performance from it. I came from an i5 6500, and i could easily see the difference in performance all across the board. I personally wont go for 5ghz as i don't really see the gains from it.
  12. True. Yea Zen+ could be a thing to wait for, isn't it to be released next month?
  13. yea my cpu is is bottlenecking the 1080. Would something like the 8700k be something to consider as well from Intel's side? I do have a 144hz monitor, so I'm not sure if Ryzen would reach them heights
  14. So this is my current Rig: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/FpvNNQ Looks a bit all over the show. I recently got that 1080 for £500 which i think was a good deal, given what the prices are at now. (My old card was an RX 470) With this, i'm here to look for some advice on where to upgrade next. My first thoughts say the CPU or motherboard, but I'm not too sure. I've got around £800-£900 to spare to make changes,( could I even make a completely new build?) Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  15. just spoke with him. he's got 1 EVGA and the remaining 3 are GIGABYTE ones. THE EVGA has 3 year warranty with the others only having 1 year.
