    Hi everybody! I'm going to buy i7 6800k & x99 &…

Depends on what your needs are. I am building a similar build soon. (6800k). However, I plan on not only some gaming, but heavy animation and photo editing. Don't go for Brodwell E if you plan on gaming and maybe some video editing (in the future). 6700k is more than enough for gaming right now.
  2. Ok. Well, 1070 I heard is good. Should I go with that instead?
  3. STRIX 1080 is around $700 I think. A GTX 970 from gigabyte is around $350
  4. Hello. I am in the process of choosing parts for a new PC of mine. I have chosen the ROG STRIX 1080 GPU for my system. However, I keep going back and forth whether to get the 1080 and upgrade in about 3-4 years or, get a 970 and upgrade when a good Volta GPU comes out in a year or two. I really want to do dual 1440p. But I notcided that the technology for 4K is catching up, and within a few years our GPUs should be able to handle 4K 60FPS. I keep going back and forth between a 1080 and a temporary 970. Suggestions greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  5. Thanks! And thanks to all who replied
  6. Ah, you guys misunderstand. In my originally post I said I like to plan ahead (I'm the type of guy who chooses friends BirthDay gifts 3 years in advance). I will probably replace my motherboard/ CPU in 3 years, depending.
  7. 6900K (I believe it's a 2011-3 Socket, right?) and a MSI X99A Godlike Gaming Carbon motherboard. Rest of the parts found on my profile
  8. Hello. I am really new to computer and PC building. My first build will be in November. Anyways, I was doing to down the road planning for my new PC ("Riptide"). I was wondering whether you can replace a CPU in a computer withought the system resetting (I heard a computer resets when you replace a CPU from a friend, but I don't really know if he knows what he is talking about). Thanks all.
  9. Hello. I am really new to Conputers and PC's. I am building my first real setup, and I am wondering if more of the same monitors will make your PC slower (less FPS?). Example. Playing BF4 on Ultra settings with a single 980 ti and a single 27' 1440p monitor will give you around 50 FPS. Will 2 1440p montors running BF4 (with the same 980ti) run at 40 FPS?
  10. Yes it is Broadwell-E. Thanks a bunch m8!
  11. I can't seem to find a good motherboard for the Intel i7 6850K CPU (FC-LGA14A). Reccomendations greatly appreciated.
  12. Ok thanks, I understand. I think I'll go with a cheap GTX 970 for now, and wait for NVIDIA's Volta next year.
  13. So, I am quite new to the whole computer building subject. I am building a new PC in the next few months. I plan on putting a Intel i7 6700k ( or 5820K, still deciding), still choosing the mother board, 2 Gigabyte GTX 980 ti WindForce in SLI, Corsair Vengeance 16 Gig Ram, 750 Watt Corsair PSU, 1 TB WD Black, 500 GB Samsung SSD, CableMod sleeving, all in the Corsair 780t Case. I am wondering whether the 2 GTX 980 ti's ($1300) will last me for atleast 3-4 years. I'm not the kind of guy who has $1500 to throw away every 2-3 years. If I'm spending that much money on 2 parts, I would want it to work with the latest applications and games of, let's say, 2018/19. If not, should I get 1 GTX 980 ti then later down the road upgrade it with maybe, I don't know, 1080 ti's in SLI (lol)?
  14. Ok I have another question, what is a appropriate Motherboard and CPU for 2 GTX 980 ti? And one more thing. Will a new 980 ti be coming out soon? I heard they come out after Titan's come out. I don't want to get this GTX 980 if a new one comes out. (I'm really new to the computer stuff)
  15. It's Blower (Gigabyte 980 ti WindForce)
  16. Hello. I am about to build a new PC. I am thinking of using 2 Gigabyte GTX 980 ti's for my build. I have a few questions, as this is my first SLI. How do you connect the 2 GPU's? Is it just the SLI Bridge? And will any brand of SLI bridge work on the GPUs? (EVGA, NVIDIA, etc.) Also, I am not running with water cooling for the GPUs, (I've heard about so many horror stories), so what are some ways to keep my PC cool with the 2 GPUs? And finally, how big of a Power Supply will I need? Thanks! System Specs: Intel i7 6700K, 2 GTX 980 ti, 16 Gigs of Corsair Vengeance ram, Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler, 1 TB WD Black, 120 gig Samsung 850 Evo, PSU?,
