  1. It's a very complex question you've asked but I think it's possible in the 20secs of googling I did. You're going to want to find a build of linux that has support for your processor architecture and given it's running a 64bit Intel processor I think you're gonna be fine. This article (x) from Tablet Ninja might be a good start but it's not gonna be easy. Best of luck, and I'd be interested in seeing how you go with it.
  2. G'day from down under! I've recently switched ISPs and have got myself a new Modem/Router combo. The thing is, I've already got a pretty sweet router and don't need the router part of the modem. Just to double check before I actually do it, if I set my modem to "Bridging Mode" (x) will that just turn off the router part of the modem and set it up correctly? Full network config: Netcomm NF10W as Modem/Router Netgear R7000 as Router
  3. Hello! Long time reader, first time poster so plz be kind, oh glorious moderators <3 My father and I had a pre-built NAS unit (4TB Seagate, Single Drive, bad call all around haha) that crapped itself recently. I put it down to power loss issues, but I'm not entirely sure. We've ripped the hard-drive out of it, because I don't think there's much corrupted data, and we can't figure out what the file system is and don't really know where to start. Can someone point me in the right direction of where to go? Is this something we really should be taking on ourselves or should we go to a data recovery service (we would rather not, money's quite tight at the moment) Thanks in advance
  4. Hi, Lads. I have been having some surge issues with my Asus H100M-A, whenever I plug in a powered USB device, or PCI-E powered WiFi chip for that matter, the surge protector trips. Seeing as this is my first build, I am unable to pinpoint the problem myself, but I suspect is could be my old power supply I'm using. Specs: Core i5 6400 clocked at 2.7GHz and stock cooler 4GB DDR4 Kingston Value RAM WD Caviar 80GB HDD (My 120GB M.2 SSD is on order) Top Silent 400W PSU Deep Cool 120mm Fan USB Mouse and Keyboard The devices that have tripped the circuit so far are: Akai Professional LPD8 TP-Link PCI-E based 300Mbps Wireless Adapter Launchpad Mk2 Any help you could give me would be great. Cheers, Brenmiester.
