  1. Based on the requirements, it's really not required to go for intel as well. An AMD build could do it as well. I know it's gonna get a lot of hate for suggesting build to be done using quite old tech compared to SkyLake or KabyLake. Just want to put it forward, so if it suits you could go for it. CPU: AMD A8 7600 MoBo: Asus A68HM-K RAM: Kingston FURY Memory - 8GB Module - DDR3 1866MHz CL10 DIMM PSU: Corsair VS450 450W Power supply SSD: ADATA Premier SP550 240GB Case: Xion XON-310_BK Mid tower cabinet Just an FYI, I have done this build for my dad, and he's pretty satisfied with it. His Usage: Casual Gaming(Age of Empires, Spintires, Don Bradman Cricket 14, Fifa series), Youtube Videos, working on spreadsheets and PPTs. Regards, Nick1188
  2. Thanks very much Morgan. However, I don't want to go through the hassle of flashing my BIOS with a B150 MoBo. It's hard now-a-days here in Bangalore to get hold of someone with a desktop, let alone a friend with Skylake build who would lend me his chip. It's probably better that I go for the B250 series itself. I thought of going with ASRock B250M Pro4 however, it's white and black and doesn't quite go with the theme. Let me know if there's any other MoBo with similar price range and probably an all black pcb if not black and red I too am thinking of going for 2 ram sticks but, want to start with one at the moment. I'll add the other in the future post judging the performance of my system. Also, the Bitfenix comrade is not available on Amazon India, even if it did, it would be quite costly. XFX isn't availble on Amazon India Prime, though it's available through Amazon Global Store, but it wouldn't give any warranty whatsoever for the purchase Let me just add the budget that my build is going to cost. Pardon me, but it's in INR local currency. CPU: Intel Core i5 7500 7th Gen CPU -- Rs.16250 MoBo: MSI B250M Gaming Pro -- Rs.8400 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB 2400MHz single stick -- Rs.4564 PSU: Corsair VS650 650W Power Supply -- Rs.4200 Cabinet: Corsair Carbide Spec1 or Thermaltake Versa n26 -- Rs.3949 Graphic Card: MSI Armor RX480 OC 8GB -- around Rs.23100 HDD: WD Blue 1TB - Rs.3770 Regards, Nick1188.
  3. Hi Guys, I'm planning to do a red and black themed budget gaming cum editing build. Would it be stable for 1080p gaming at 60fps and also suitable for video editing. Please provide your views and suggestions on the same. CPU: Intel Core i5 7500 7th Gen CPU MoBo: MSI B250M Gaming Pro RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB 2400MHz single stick PSU: Corsair VS650 650W Power Supply Cabinet: Corsair Carbide Spec1 or Thermaltake Versa n26 Graphic Card: MSI Armor RX480 OC 8GB HDD: WD Blue 1TB Regards, Nick1188
  4. okay, now that's done.. any particular suggestions on VFM MoBo for the same and suggested RAM config?
  5. I think max 3 VMs he would be running at a time, I don't think he would have a use-case for the 4th, at the moment
  6. Well there's always a first time. If he does let me do it, I'll be more than happy to learn it hands-on on his rig.
  7. He himself may or may not overclock, I'm not sure about it, probably I'll do the tuning for him or someone in his home may. What do you suggest in terms of CPU selection in terms of running VMs are concerned? My understanding is it's CPU and RAM intensive, so more clock speed and 32Gb of ram should help his cause.
  8. Hi guys, I'm planning to build a PC for my friend. His basic requirements are good performance while running multiple(3-4) Virtual Machines, decent gaming and daily home use. Could you suggest a suitable CPU which serves the purpose, also giving performance for the value Options: i3 6100 i5 6600k i7 4790k
