my C drive / the one my windows 10 currently is on is a 500 gig 970 evo plus m.2, and it has 140 sth gigs free rn. Would that be good enough?

Yeah I was thinking that the only scenario in which I would install windows 11 was if I could dual boot onto it. Would that cause any issues potentially? Or would that be completely fine?

Oh yeah I forgot to say that I tried verifying game files before reinstalling too, didn't work. Haven't tried the DDU method yet, and yeah fh5 was and still is pretty buggy but at least I could play it. As for updating to windows 11 well I am one of those people who would much prefer if I did not have to do that at least not yet, given the state of that OS.

Yeah I have heard this recommendation too but truth be told I always try to avoid doing this because at least right now I have no easy method of backing up any of my things and windows' "keep my files" FEATURE doesn't exactly do that, I learnt that the hard way a while ago, any good backup utility recommendations or something like that?

Yes, sorry about my tone of voice, I genuinely just do that to avoid people who aren't looking to help but just spread useless info, and yes so far I have had this issue with only this game but I will update this thread if I encounter any issues with any other games, of course not including the ones that are known to have DRM related issues with alder lake.

Hello, so as the title says forza horizon 5 doesn't want to launch after I upgraded almost everything in my pc, mobo, psu, cpu and ram. I went from a 10900k z390 and ddr4 to alder lake, 12900k and z690 with ddr5 and seasonic prime px-1300. So far I have tried defaulting everything in bios, updating it too, reinstalling the game and nothing still. The first few times it did that it completely froze on the loading screen and refused to close even when I spammed end task on it in task manager, and I also noticed that every time I clicked end task on it my audio would crackle and pop for a second so I had to restart my whole pc. Now it gets to the loading screen, freezes like half a second in and just alt f4's to desktop. Looking for legitimate help and no judging on some "tHaT's WhAT yOu GeT aS aN EaRLy AdoPTeR", spare me.

Hy! I have a small problem that i've been having for a long time now but only now it got in my way when i tried to do something. Basically when i look into my BIOS or System settings it shows that my 111 GB Hitachi Hard Drive is an SSD for some weird-ass reason and my actual SSD is a Hard Drive, WTF? Am i right when i'm guessing that the moron who installed it way back mixed up the cables and plugged the SSD Cables in the HDD and vice versa, because when i got my PC it came with those SSD and HDD, or is something faulty in the HDD or SSD?
