  1. Thanks for your detailed answer! I'll give you some more information to explain the problem. The VPN server runs on my router, so on 10.1.10.1 in my local network. When clients connect to the VPN server they get a IP from the VPN server on the Synology router. In the router it isn't possible to simply edit the subnetmask of the VPN server. So it will match the one on my local network: 255.0.0.0 I searched further online and people said when they installed a DNS server on the router it would work, but sadly it didn't. A traceroute gives me nothing only some 1 *** 2 *** 3 *** on my macbook to 10.1.10.1 Mweh
  2. It looks like the workstation even doesn't try to connect to the server. It's straight away the username or password is wrong. I fully have to wipe and reinstall on the local network to be able to login after i connected the computer to the domain.
  3. Hi guys, I have a problem with multiple workstations at the office. I have installed Windows 10 on 2 workstations here at the office within the office network, and they work flawlessly. I also have installed windows 10 on 3 other workstations at home and was able to connect them to the domain here at the office with no problems. The only problem we now have, we can't login. All the network settings are identically to the working workstations, but for some reason logging in isn't working. One workstation i have fully wiped with the clean install tool Windows 10 provides and connect the workstation again to the domain, and now it can log in perfectly! How to fix this for the other 2 workstations, without having to fully wipe the workstation. Thanks!
  4. Nope, they can't find each other. In the firewall i configured that the 2 different subnets can talk to eachoher but no succes. It's really driving me crazy, i tried this earlier and it worked, i never configured anything only enabled the VPN i had access from the outside to the local shares. I don't know what to do, also the RT1900AC doesn't give me the ability to simply change the VPN subnetmask the one that the DHCP is using. If you know the solution could you simply explain it to me, because i tried a lot but simply lost it.
  5. Hi! Yeah, at this moment i set the VPN ip-range in my static ip-range, but the subnet local is 255.0.0.0 but on the outside computer it is 255.255.255.255, and no where i can change this.
  6. Hi guys! A week ago we bought the Synology RT1900ac with the intention to run a VPN Server on it. I'm able to connect to the VPN with L2TP and surf on the internet on the business connection, but there's one important thing that isn't working. I have to connect to the domain via the L2TP connection but the connected computer can't see the domain. Thing i already have done: Added the VPN subnet to the firewall so it's allowed to talk to the local subnet Set the L2TP DNS manually to the local subnet DNS servers in Windows (The first DNS server of the Server and the second of the router itself) Also set the DNS manually in the router VPN. What to do? Thanks!
  7. I used this for the certificaten request from the tutorial. And ofcourse edited the credentials in the Subject line. What should i do different? I acactly followed the tutorial and i only have 1 server. AMASRV1.<sitename>.nl
  8. The Digicert Utility program, confirms my SSL is in use and working. Also in my NTDS\Personal folder the Certificate shows perfectly up. But still that damn 1400 ID error
  9. Hi guys, I'm trying to enable LDAPS on my local server, but i can't get it working. I used this tutorial: http://shabaztech.com/enabling-ldaps-certificate-3rd-party-ca/ and did everything it said, also have a 90-days trial SSL from Comodo to go with it. But i still get the 1400 ID error. Active Directory Web Services could not find a server certificate with the specified certificate name. A certificate is required to use SSL/TLS connections. To use SSL/TLS connections verify that a valid server authentication certificate from a trusted Certificate Authority (CA) is installed on the machine.Certificate name: <host name> What to do?? I'm working on it for 2 days, but can't get it right Thanks!
  10. Hi, It's very strange but the timestamp on the 'Date modified' section of a file is different then the time of my PC. When i create a file the time i different then my PC's time. It's only in a shared folder. The time on the server is exactly the same as on the PC. On the server the 'Date modified' is matching the time on there.... Thanks!
  11. Hi, I'm planning to buy the INTEL NUC KIT BOXNUC6I3SYK, but i have to buy a M.2 SSD in there, but i've red there are types of M.2 slots. In this NUC there is a Type M connector (22x42 or 22x80), but how do i know i buy the right SSD? Because i saw a 850 EVO mSATA but also a M.2 version. What's the best M.2 SSD for this NUC? Something like 550mbps read/write. Thanks!
  12. https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/263575-consumer-ssd-s-in-a-hp-proliant-server?page=3 And another site, but i can't find it anymore. In the server is a Smart Array B110i SATA RAID controller.
  13. I'm reading on the internet people have problems with Samsung SSD's in HPE Proliant servers. Do you guys know anything about this? I want to buy this server: http://www8.hp.com/emea_middle_east/en/products/proliant-servers/product-detail.html?oid=1008771942#!tab=specs And i would like to put 2x Samsung EVO 750 128GB SSD's in there in a RAID. Wouldn't this be a problem, or should i buy HDD's instead, just for safety? Thanks!
