@LinusTechTipsFanFromDarlo I know that I should, but if those CPU's above are compatable I could upgrade and make it decent for simpler tasks again for only a small money.( I found theese CPU's for only 20 eur in a store nearby) @JurrunioIn the G770 manual (https://download.lenovo.com/UserFiles/UserGuide/en/User's%20guides%20and%20manuals/G770/Lenovo%20G770%20Hardware%20Maintenance%20Manual%20V1.0%20(English).pdf) I found that aparently it came with theese CPU's (image below), but I am not sure if they made multiple different laptops under the name G770. Is this a good enough proof that my Laptop would work with theese CPU's?

I know that this idea will probably sound realy bad to some of you guys, but I am actualy thinking of upgrading my 2013 laptop (Lenovo G770, model number: 20089). The main reason for upgrade is the CPU, it is an old Pentium B950 ( 2 cores, 2 threads at 2,1 Ghz). I have found different sources that claim that I can upgrade my CPU all the way to 2nd gen i5 but I am not sure. I know for a fact that when doing upgrades I must not exeed the 35 W power limit of my previous chip, so that is an extra factor to consider. Some sources said that even if the sockets are the same my laptop BIOS could not accept the CPU for some reason? All I want is to get more performance out of my PC, I know that I wont be abble to get a quad core CPU but I would be realy happy if I can get a faster CPU with better integrated graphics. Some sources claimed that I would have most luck with those 2nd gen I5's but some even said "3rd gen would work as well": i5 2540M i5 2520M i5-3320M I'd love to get some compatable CPU suggestions from you guys :)! I have calculated the torque reqiered for the axes: X and Y axes need 10 N cm of torque ( 5 mm diameter of the gear, friction 0,3, load 2 Kg, 100 mm/s speed, Safety factor 2) Z axes ( powered by 2 motors ) together they need 17 N cm of Torque ( entire axe in between could weight 1 KG ( extruder + 1 stepper motor, etc.), also Safety factor of 2 Calculated on this website: https://www.orientalmotor.com/motor-sizing/ I hope that I have calculated things correctly ;)!

Thank you for your suggestion. If I understand correctly Anet A8 uses the "Weaker model " of Nema 17 steppers as well ( At least in my opinion, there is no way that they could reach that price point with more powerfull motors, also they look a bit different). If I am correct I should be more worried about moving Z axes ( height) with threaded rods ( that might require more powerfull motors) ? Also the main reason I want to buy these motors is price which I found a deal for 5 motors for only 25 EUR (compared to higher torque ones 40 EUR +)

Okay so you think that I should be fine even though that this motor has only 26 Ncm of holding Torque compared to other nema 17 steppers that have 45 or more ?

Hello everyone, I would like to build my very own 3d printer but I have no idea how "strong stepper motors" I actually need. I will be building a 3d printer that has the axes in the same way as "The original Prusa I3 MK3 " 3d printer .I will have extrudor head and the material pusher separated so that motor will not be adding weight to Z axis. The thing that I am concerned is that Z axes will be to heavy for these motors to push up ? Please if anyone knows how would the stepper below act in the printer let me know. Hello everyone, I have a very old computer that has the following components: CPU: Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6550 RAM: 2 GB DDR 2 Motherboard: Asus P5KR GPU: Nvidia 8800 GT ( planning to uppgrade this component) OS (current): Windows Xp (32 bit) So I want to know if it is possible to upgrade operating system to Windows 10 64 bit version? Wikipedia says that my CPU is a 64 bit one but will it actually work?

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I bought my new computer 7 months ago and I would like to upgrade it once in fucture, but I dont know how should I upgrade it. I use my computer for making 3D animations and for recording videos. I would like to know what do you thing about this sistem and how should I upgrade it.
