  1. Hook me up with your friend hahaha
  2. 700+ would be alright for 1500 no?... The budget is 1500 for graphics cards alone, so that would be okay? Idk haha maybe you misunderstood
  3. I'm not taking resolution into account, as I'm mostly looking for consistent performance on extremely high settings for multiple years, so no matter the resolution, which is only 1080p at the moment, it will have to be a killer card I think
  4. Ok, so here I am once again a couple of months later, faced with a new conundrum. So I need a new gpu that will last me around 3 years on max/very high settings on new demanding titles, such as GTA V. I was thinking about the TITAN X, but I don't know if that is powerful enough, especially considering the 390X coming out, which by rumored specs will be even better, and if the price is low enough (budget is $1500) then I might get two. I also considered getting a r9 295x2 or two of those since they are way cheaper now, but I really don't know. The rest of my system is good, and the only thing really keeping me from getting two r9 295x2's is that I only have a 1250 watt power supply. Any help is greatly appreciated
  5. Yeah my bad haha, fixed the mistake. And yeah it is a workstation card but it performs pretty well. Why not go with the triple 290x's though? And what about the 990 maybe?
  6. I would still just rather not have water in my case at all ever, sorry. Call me paranoid! Haha! Hence the Titan z, because it is not liquid cooled.
  7. The only reason I don't like the 295x2 is because I do not want to deal with any liquid cooling. Otherwise also it has less cores than 3 290x's
  8. Hey all, I think this is like the third topic I've started about this, but I'm STILL not decided. So here's the deal. I have a z87 g45 mobo - so that mean two way SLI or three way cfx. Money is not a problem, but I'm a gamer and I want the best thing I can get that will last me the longest time. I am currently thinking either 3 290x's, btw NO LIQUID COOLING, sorry enthousiasts! Anyways that or the titan z, or the 295x2 (but that's pretty much out of the question, since it's liquid cooled). Another option is two way 780ti's or 980s, but that wouldn't be as powerful as 3 290x's. My power limit is AT MOST 1200 watts for total system. Other specs are i7 4770k, 16gb 2400mhz ram, and that's pretty much it, with a 7950 GPU right now. I was also thinking maybe waiting for a GTX 990? I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
  9. I know but I was wondering wether they would come out with a 890 or something, just want an opinion!
  10. Hey guys, Just a quick question for everyone in general, what do you think nvidia is doing with the GTX 790? Did the TITAN Z? And what about the 890? When would that come out? I'm wondering because near the end of this year or even fall I'm going to upgrade my graphics card. Current hardware is an i7 4770K @ 4.3ghz, 16GB memory @ 2400mhz, and the only this missing is an amazing GPU that will last me a long time with games at ultra settings. I currently have an overclocked Radeon HD 7950, but I was going to switch over to nvidia if they came out with the $1000 x90 (790 or 890) card, otherwise if there isn't going to be one by the end of the year I'm just going to buy an R9 295X2 for $1500 and get a 1000-1200 watt PSU. Thank you so much for your help, any info or suggestions completely welcome!
  11. Ok, but this is most likely my last graphics card I will ever buy and I just want it to last as long as possible and at the highest performance. I also am not adding anything or upgrading afterward, so for the $550 prove range I think the 7990 will definitely be the best right now.
  12. Right, but when you compare specs the 7990 still wins, as it is a dual GPU card. I have also researched many benchmarks and the 7990 wins in those as well. And also mantle is coming to the 7000 series as well, so no need for the higher end cards since the 290x doesn't even beat the 7990
  13. Hey guys, so I'm looking to buy a graphics card for Black Friday, and I hate to say this, but one that is relatively future proof. I have been looking at the 7990 for a while now and I think it's becoming really cheap, but I have noticed it has been getting discontinued on Newegg! The previous PowerColor 7990 reference that was $579.99 is now discontinued. Newegg says it may or may not be restocked. Do you guys think I could find a 7990 on Black Friday around $550 or less? Thanks
