  1. Stumbled upon this, cant decide whether the gp850 (440€) is worth 80€ more than the gl850 (370€), too bad I missed the black friday deal for the gp850 at 380 :/
  2. oh sorry, I got the case for 95€ and the motherboard for 190 ish€
  3. Don't know about the parts you listed but I'm personally using an 8700k@5GHz on an Asus Prime Z390-A inside the Fractal Design Meshify C! 85°C max
  4. Hey sorry, haven't checked the forums in a while and actually got my 2 pads yesterday, had a chance to try them both for a while, but I'm still testing. I bought the XL MicroSuede (link- 110mm) and the normal sized Hybrids (link- 100mm) from Brainwavz and they didnt change the sound "THAT" bad, they do seal your ear so that would narrow the soundstage a bit but not that much dw. As of sound, both raise the bass a bit and actually bring down the highs a bit to tame that treble ( you can always EQ ) As of comfort, XL microsuede are 10/10 imo, they are big and puffy so watchout for that clamp but you ear swims in there since they're 110mm and it has a bit of space to move from left to right where as the hybrids are a little smaller and have a "fixed" position with very little play for the ear. As of fit, the small hybrids are hard to get on but they fit perfectly where as the XL stay a bit large but you can "lock" them putting the rubber slip under the headphone's pad rotation thingy ( I can send pics if you want ) and dont worry they wont fall out. Which one would I get ? As of now I can't tell you, still trying them both but I'll for sure be using one of these 2 since I can't live with the stock pads sadly (memory foam baby!). I played Valorant yesterday with the XL microsuede and it was good, did not notice any soundstage or imaging ( mind with me I'm not an expert with these terms ) difference and was able to pinpoint enemies (still having troubles differentiating the front and the back, but thats just me getting used to Stereo sound, always used 7.1 surround yikes), I'll try to play with the hybrids today and will doing so for a week between these 2 pads and will end up returning whichever I don't join. Ask whatever you want! I'm here to help since you actually cant find many dt990s pads posts sadly, they all just say "changing the pads will destroy the sound, just change headphones" but these puppies are amazing for their price (i got them for 118€)
  5. Thanks for linking me that thread, Google search kinda sucks huh smh. You are not late but I talked with another guy that used the dt990s with almost every brainwavz and told me he'd go microsuede ( if i want bit more bass but keeping that soundrange) XL , giving me more "airy" sound, which idk what would mean but I read it's kind of better with the soundrange; or the Hybrids, PU Leather with holes in the inside and velour on top, which might be the pads that im ordering even tho I might get both to try and return whichever i don't like. Not sure how the Hybrids would affect the soundrange and ingame imaging but they'll be comfy atleast with some more bass.
  6. Alright, tyvm buddy, will be ordering the brainwavz XL velour on monday, hopefully they'll be good without changing the sound too much, but I'll take that for the prefect price of 118€ as my first headphones, will probably sound better than my old g430 even with thirdparties pads.
  7. I will be getting brainwavz to test then, even tho the XL are 110mm whereas the stock dt990 are 100mm . Would you get velour over micro suede? Also I need to act fast lol hopefully the pads arrive before the 31st coz that's when Amazon return's time for the dt990 end. Don't want to be stuck with headphones that dont suit my ears.
  8. Sorry for quoting you again but saw you have both dt990 and hd58x. Since there's actually no point in buying other pads for my dt990, how about i return them and get other pairs, what would you recommend ? Are hd58x "good" for gaming ?
  9. Reading that was actually like an arrow hitting my heart
  10. mhh ok, yea they isolate a bit more but I guess they won't be that bad. You still using the dt990s ? I can always return them and get other sennys maybe, like the hd6xx or other models. Good headphones for gaming mainly tho Yea I have tried adjusting them in every way, actually too much since I even tried them with literally 0 clamping force straightening the headband but that's just horrible to wear since they'll fall off my head even with the lightest move. Even tried putting some materials like toilet paper, cotton pads and even my g430's old earpad's foam which I cut, but yea that pushes the driver away , but shifting the pain to the temporal bone as I'm a glasses wearer .. Without the material the driver sits flush to the ear , hurting after 10 mins With the material the driver sits slightly away from the ear making it not hurt but shifting the "pads" clamping force I guess to the opposite side, where the glasses arm is, giving me an headache after a couple of hours fun huh ?
  11. Literally bought the headphones 2 weeks ago, been using them almost all day everyday since quarantined. Price wise , true I don't think it's worth getting 60€ earpads just for 110€ headphones, i could return the dt990s and get 200€+ headphones at that point lol. Don't know if the Brainwavz would fit nicely since they're 110mm where as the dt990's driver size is 100mm , if so I'd go with either microsuede XLs (only option available) or the velour XL, both for 25€ which is much better than dekoni's 60€ (price wise, not sure about sound changes) I enjoy the sound alot, applied some EQ settings from /r/headphones oratory1990's iirc and I like them much better since it lowers the highs a little bit. I would not go leather, read that it can narrow the sound range and make them too bassy. Not sure about 770pads tbh , they're made for dt770's closed back design so won't be as good as dt990, but being stiffer, they could solve my problem of having the ear rubbing the internal driver (what a shame, I just love these headphones and kinda disappointed having to deal with these stupid things).
  12. Mhh, I'll see , either those to try or the dekoni. The problem is nto that they're too soft , but too shallow for my right ear
  13. Oof, those pads would cost 60+70€ lol Hopefully they'll be worth it
  14. I saw that pads change not only the low and high freqs but can narrow the sound range. Seen many people saying "leather for closed, velour for open"
  15. I see, will wait for his reply then but won't sheepskin pads "destroy" the open back sound ? Was looking at the Dekoni elite valour pads even tho they're 50€ but heard they're pretty good
