  1. @Fasauceome @Jurrunio The 3600 is around $20 more, I also forgot to mention that I have a Cryorig H7 cooler which I could use to get some extra OC on the 3600. The motherboard I was looking to get is Gigabyte B450M DS3H.
  2. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and was wondering whether to get the 3600 or 10400F. I can't really afford to upgrade my 16GBs of RAM from 2666 to 3200 in order to use the Ryzen to its fullest potential. My GPU is a 1070 Ti. Which one should I get considering my RAM?
  3. I got a new CPU and it's working fine now.
  4. I replaced my CPU with a new one and my PC is working fine now.
  5. @-rascal-Hey, update. I got some new RAM, PSU but it still isn't posting, no signal, tried both GPU and CPU graphics. I have now ordered a new CPU, guess we'll see. GPU seems to be fine, and the PSU is bottom-mounted so I don't think any water got into those two.
  6. Yeah, I also tried using the GPU, but it's giving me No Signal too.
  7. Hello guys, I did a lot of troubleshooting the past 48 hours since my motherboard died once I spilled some water on it while the PC was running. I've tried everything I can think of, went through many no-POST troubleshooting guides (LTT, TomsHardware - from taking out the CMOS battery to trying out all RAM slots, etc...) but I can't get the PC to POST (No Signal). I have tried using a new motherboard, RAM and PSU even a different monitor but it still doesn't post. Even the motherboard BIOS Beep speaker/module doesn't beep. I can turn on the system, motherboard lights/LEDs turn on, along with the CPU fan and the chassis fan. The keyboard and mouse DO NOT light up, though. Trying to turn on the system even without the CPU works the same as if there was a CPU installed. At this point I'm thinking it's the CPU that got fried along with the motherboard and it's faulty, should I get a new CPU or could it be something else? Any help or ideas are appreciated. Specs: Z370P D3 (Old motherboard that I spilled the water on) H310M-D R2.0 (New motherboard) i5-8400 GTX 1070 Ti
  8. @-rascal-The new RAM is yet to arrive, but while I wait I tested the system without the CPU. Everything behaves the same, and there's practically no difference. Could this mean that my CPU is dead? The water might've gotten into the socket when I spilled it rendering it dead... thanks!
  9. Does anyone know if faulty RAM can cause No Signal and no power to keyboard and mouse?
  10. Thank you for the reply. I'm not sure any water got into the CPU socket area, but it might have. It's been around 20 hours since the water ruined the old motherboard. I did take out the 1070 Ti when trying the iGPU but it still giving me no signal. I'm thinking it's either the CPU or the PSU (doubt any water got into it but...). Also, my keyboard and mouse don't light up at all when booting.
  11. Hello everyone, a couple of a days ago I spilled a very tiny amount of water on my old motherboard (which no longer boots), and since then I have bought a new one, H310M-D REV 2.0. Now everything works fine, but the only thing I can't get to work is my monitor - it keeps saying No Signal when I connect either the GPU (1070Ti) with DP or the onboard graphics (i5-8400) with HDMI. I have basically tried everything from re-seating ram to clearing CMOS, etc... I can't think of anything else to do. Any help is very appreciated...
  12. Who still uses Windows 7? I guess I'll get either the R5 1600/1700 or 8350k
  13. what do you mean by "end around"? It's 100% maxed all the time.
  14. I'm on 2600. My CPU performance in BFV is ~60FPS avg. while his (R5 1600) is ~120FPS avg. so yeah
  15. Currently have an i7-2600 which is 100% maxed all the time on new AAA games (BFV, SoTTR, etc.) and getting really tired of it. I thought about upgrading to Ryzen 5 1600, is it a worthy upgrade from the i7 for gaming? I don't have an infinite budget. Should I maybe get the R7 1700... something else? (The i5-8400 is way too expensive to get rn)
