  1. I'm trying to do some basic overclocking on my FX-6300. My specs: CPU: AMD FX-6300 Motherboard: Asus m5a97 r2.0 Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper EVO 212 RAM: 2x Crucial Ballistix Tactical 4GB DDR3-1600 GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB ROG STRIX PSU: Corsair CX600M BIOS setting CPU ratio: 21.5 CPU bus freq: 200 CPU voltage: 1.4 CPU/NM voltage: 1.225 So my goal is to overclock to 4.3 GHz. Right now I'm running Prime95 for about an hour. I have two problems: 1) In CPUID HWMonitor there is big difference in CPU temps. Socket CPU temp (from motherboard) shows 64 degrees, but Package temp (from CPU itself) is 54 degrees. How it that possible? Which is the real one? 2) If highest one is real one - why it runs so hot? I have decent cooler, I just cleaned heatsink and reapplied thermal paste. I will attach image with temps. Any ideas?
  2. Thanks for reply! Looks like EVGA really is the best bet.
  3. I have closed case with no window, so any lighting, no matter how good, would be hidden anyway
  4. GTX 1060 has TDP of 120W. Does it really benefit from PCB 6+1?
  5. Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming (GV-N1060G1GAMING-6GD) EVGA GTX 1060 SC (06G-P4-6163-KR) Palit GTX 1060 Dual (NE51060015J9D) Those three cards are listed for same price right now - 290 eur. Which one is better buy in terms of price/performance? Criteria: Price / performance Heat Noise Build quality Things that I don't really care about: Size Looks What are your suggestions?
  6. Hey! Here in Latvia we can get those two cards for following prices: EVGA GTX 1060 SC (06G-P4-6163-KR) - 289 EUR (320 USD) Zotac GTX 1060 mini (ZT-P10600A-10L) - 253 EUR (280 USD) From reviews it seems that both cards are good, but Zotac heats up more than EVGA and is little noisier. Plus EVGA has higher clock frequencies. MSRP for Zotac is 249 USD and EVGA 259 USD. Is it worth paying 36 euro extra for EVGA SC? I'm not really planning on overclocking, but I don't want noisy card. What do you suggest getting?
