So, you want to speed up that old OEM system in your parent's den, well I have some tips for you. I have 24-years of experience in not having money to get decent performance. I've tried(or thought about trying) of Everything under the sun and I'm here to share 3 steps Sandisk and Adata don't want you to know.
1. Short Stroking: reducing your drive space may seem like a detriment, but since you are probably going to kill yourself before filling up that 5,400rpm drive, it's better to choose more speed.
2. R.A.I.D.: Godsent for older drives, everyone got em, no one wants em, and you can stripe 2 or 3 for double the money(considering you bought shit hard drives, that's like $3.50)
3. Combine: That's right, you just made a glass cannon build of using old hard drives in a non-recoverable array, enjoy 75% of the performance of an SSD(bottlenecked by sata 2) for a fraction of the costs and 300% the noise!
Note: Linus should 100% make a video testing this BEAST of a rig and see if its worth doing! I mean they have to make a video everyday so this shit would be better than fucking "anti-RGB" build.
