  1. Hi sorry to revive this thread but I managed to boot into the bios, however I can't find any option for booting into my USB containing Windows, any idea how do I do this, I plugged the usb to all the ports and tried boot option 1 as USB/hard drive and USB/cd
  2. why can't I just do the reinstalling method where I boot the drive into my desktop and plug the usb into my desktop. Isit possible to get back the bios this way as well?
  3. I can do that, Im afraid of damaging the laptop if I tear it apart, r hard drives usually easily accessible ?
  4. Hi i tried it and it skips right pass the MSI loading screen and it goes straight to the loading screen.. urgh is there any way to boot from my USB or maybe a spare harddrive?
  5. Hi users of the Internet. I need help fixing a problem with my second hand msi gt70 2pe laptop which I bought off eBay. Basically I was given a laptop with a ton of bloat ware so I thought it would be smart to reformat the whole disk. It holds a one 1tb internal hdd. I wanted to restore my system to factory settings and it seemed fine with all the loading screens running. After it reached 100% the computer restarted and constantly prompted me to disconnect any drives not containing the operating system and to control alt delete to restart the computer. I am well aware that I may have deleted the operating system in the computer and probably screwed up there.. There is no BIOS to boot into to which frustrates me even more as I cannot load the Windows 10 image from my USB drive to install Windows 10 all over. I really need help getting out of this mess as it's such a waste of money to pay for a laptop that doesent work. There is no startup MSI screen for me to press f3/del repeatedly to open up bios. Is there anyway I can boot Windows 10 and to reinstall the operating system?
  6. oh sorry misread your post, yup I know it will be crazy expensive to be able to run smoothly at 4k, but all cost aside, I just want something which would be more visually satisfying for a gamer like myself
  7. I want to have a more immersive experience especially when playing latest single players. if I'm really going with the 1080p I will not upgrade to a 1080 bc the 1070 runs sweet for me yup thats where I wanted to go when I first put my 144hz monitor up for trade and sale, now this offer came along which to me seems possible of giving me a more fufilling and satisfying experience.
  8. Hi guys, im currently rocking a gtx 1070 and a 1080p 144hz gaming monitor (xl2411z). A guy is offering me a trade for my 144hz monitor in exchange for his xb280hk 4k 60hz monitor. I'm pretty much unsure if this was worth the trade as right now I'm getting a really good offer from someone who wants to buy my 1070 off of me (more than what i paid for), to purchase a decently priced 1080. I initially bought the 144hz monitor 3 years back because I was really into counter strike competitive gaming then and it made a huge world of difference to me. It was an extremely satisfying experience to be able to play cs:go on 144hz. Now, I have outgrown CS:GO but still play casual overwatch which may/may not require 144hz. I am now more invested in games like gta V ,witcher 3 , quantum break and just prepurchased watchdogs 2. I really do not know if the 1080p to 4k jump will be a satisfying enough experience to downgrade from a 144hz monitor. I hope you guys can give me valueable feedback based off your experienced dealing with such monitors. Cost is not a problem. Now I know the better option would be 144hz 1440p but the trade I have been offered only allows for a 4k monitor 60hz. Thanks a lot for helping out.
  9. hmm can I trust ai suite 3? if not the core temps are telling me my temps are about 75-80, for h110 aren't those numbers bad?
  10. Hi i did as you said and my gpu temps went down to 67 degrees when I'm gaming. However I noticed that my cpu temps are quite dangerous. AI suite 3 reports 64 degress under 100% cpu load whilst coretemp tells me that my hottest core is 83degrees but later on averages about 70-75 degree between all cores after 15 mins of full load. Now i would like to believe this is crazily high for a h110 cooling set up and I'm not sure if this is due to the internals hot air being sucked into the radiator. I bought a second hand h110 which upon inspection, i found the copper surface to be scratched up quite abit, the centre portion remains in better condition. I'm not sure what I should be doing at this point or if the temps are safe at all.
  11. Hi everyone, I recently swapped out my Noctua NH-D14 for a corsair h110, its my first time dealing with AIO water cooling and I had a really hard time deciding the airflow in my case. Im currently running my system in a Sharkoon BW9000-W case with 2x 140mm front intake, 1x 120mm rear exhaust and my top as a 2x 140mm push intake configuration. Previously the top was occupied by 3x120mm exhaust fans. I have been running with very good temps in the Noctua system with gpu max temps of about 67 but after the swap to the rad, it jumped to about 72 deg under load. I was quite worried as there is simply way too many intake in the system (2x140 front and the push intake config for the h110). I only have one arctic F12 pwm fan acting as a rear exhaust fan and it doesent seem effective enough. I live in a relatively hot environment and temps are always a problem. I recently had a gpu fry in a really shitty case with bad airflow. I was wondering if the concept of push as a top fan intake is a bad idea and that I should be changing it to a pull exhaust. I wouldnt want to fry all my components just to keep the cpu cool. Alternatively, will it be better just to change the rear fan to a more powerful 120mm fan such as the AF-120 Corsair? I do not think the Arctic F12 pwm can really push the hot air in the case out efficiently enough. Noise level does not bother me much as the radiator runs really loud anyways. I use isolation earphones to curb the sound problem. The radiator was really difficult to install at the top due to the poor design of the case. Furthermore a front intake is impossible because of the irremovable bottom hard drive bays which make the front fans really inaccessible. I was thinking to change out of this case soon as i got it off a scrap sale for about 25usd. Any help on how to arrange the cooling configuration would be really helpful. intake/exhaust? push/pull? 12. ah thanks alot! Hey just shoot out your budget recommendations and I'll at least try to source for them! Thanks alot. any thoughts on ASROCK z97 pro 4 ASROCK z97 Extreme 4 MSI z97 gaming 5 (most affordable)
