  1. yeah i think i will just buy the XPS 15 with 1080P screen and call it a day even though it seems to be a bit overpriced but it works. thanks for the assistance anyway
  2. I'm going to code PLC automation systems, and they use programs like siemens Simatic, ABB RobotStudio and we're going to so some simple line coding like in Java and the software you use for Arduinos. i hope it could be of any help.
  3. I meant that i would buy the XPS 15 without the 4k display because no one will ever need 4k on a 15" laptop. And i think that the P50 will be too overkill because off that quadro if i could choose it without that massive powerhouse i would. I'm not quite sure myself what exactly i will be programming in thb, because it's different for every "collage" I'm sorry i'm not making this easy.
  4. the Y700 seems to be more of a gaming focused laptop than i would like, plus i already got a "gaming" laptop but it's loud, bulky and have the battery equivalent of a potato. Im beginning to lean more towards the XPS 15 without the 4k display just beause it seems to do everything that i would need.
  5. sorry i haven't been able to respond before now. The thinkpad e series doesn't seem to meet the specs i need completely. But do seem like a good laptop. the Dell Latitude E7470 does not sell in my country with any off the specs i listed for some reason and i can't buy it from ebay since the keyboard layout will change to uk layout and i will need it in Nordic layout. I have been looking at a Asus Zenbook pro, is it worth buying or will the 960M be a battery bottle neck??
  6. thanks for the advice i will properly go for the HP since it seems to be more durable and cheaper for the same specs.
  7. Hello my fellow tech peeps I have just been accepted at a college (I live in Denmark) and i need a laptop. I'll be working with all sorts of programming and the school sent out a paper on what specs they recommend. The specs are. 16Gb Ram. Intel I7 quad core 2,4 GHZ minimum. 500 GB SSD. and i want it to last atleast 4-5 hours on battery life before needing to be plugged in to power. and if it's possible 15" or more. I have no max budget but i don't want to pay for something i won't need like gaming capabilities. I hope you can help me with this and thanks in advance.
