What is the difference between the Corsair void PRO USB and the void PRO surround? Is it just that one has the ability to use a 3,5mm and a USB connector or is it something else?

I currently have a gtx 1070 and shopping for a new monitor. I've found the "aoc ag241qx" and wounders if it will work since I have an nvidia GPU. I know that i will have to turn off freesync but just wounders if it will work with my setup. Another question: Can't I just turn Freesync of and use the "Display based" screen setting in my game to accomplish the same thing?
