  1. The dell is literally perfect for what I need, don't speak down to the legend
  2. The dell looks exactly the same but cheaper, I think imma go with it
  3. You're a legend, I was looking at the Acer XB270HU before this and they have very similar specs for very different prices...
  4. I'm looking for a good gaming monitor that is 1440p and around $550 (USD). Any recommendations?
  5. I have fiber so connection speeds won't be an issue
  6. I'll check those out, thanks guys!
  7. My pleasure, glad I could help! btw, if you want to get really into it like I did (divorced parents as well) you can buy a cheap suitcase and make an effectively over-sized laptop!
  8. Here's a pic without the cloth but I like it to look uniform. In all seriousness, this is a super cheap way for good-looking cable management.
  9. It's super complex.... First, you wrap your cables in cloth. Then you zip-tie that every inch or so effectively making it one unit. If it's too complex I can make a video-guide for you
  10. You can always go with the ghetto zip-tie and cloth method
  11. You can get super-thick cable sleeves to wrap all of your cables into a bundle for transportation.

    Streaming

Hello all, I didn't know where else to put this so I'm dropping it in here. I plan on playing video games in 1440p with a brand new system I just built (gtx1080 with i7 6700k) but I also want to stream. I know most capture cards drop the res output to 1080p on the monitor except for expensive options so I opted to use shadowplay with OBS. I was wondering, will this affect my resolution at all? Also, are there any better alternatives? Thank you!
  13. You can't say that if you don't know what he's doing, for example, the z170 setup will be better with gaming than that x99 setup.
  14. To be honest, no socket is truly future-proof so you can't really rely on that. X99 is older so I would assume it will rotate out before Z170. Also, it depends entirely on what you are doing. Look at the processors first then decide the motherboard that will support that processor.
