I got the new skylake 6600k with the z170 p d3(ddr3) I got that motherboard just for the reason of not buying new ram (had ddr3),after some troubleshooting (black screen) I found out that the CPU won't support ddr3,only ddr3l and ddr4,so I am wanted to avoid all the trouble I decided to buy new ddr3l ram,today I got the new ram delivered to me and my system won't even boot(black screens).I have tried to boot with and without my gpu CPU 6600k Mb asus z170 pd3 Previous rams ddr3 1333mhz New ram hyper hx316lc... 8gb ddr3l 1600mhz Gpu 970 asus strix Thanks lots for your time and let's hope we find a solution

Talking about DirectX,is it true that DX13 will be coming only on win8? will there be a noticeable performance boost? (a Guy from the repair shop told me that and he was trying to convince me to format my pc to win8.1 to get more money from me)

As long i dont run with like 3x4k monitors,i dont think that i will have a problem. although,i didnt notice if the Vram went over 3.5

I am sorry gentlemen but i thought that a low consumption card with low temps and a bit more powerful than 290x is better. Saying that,i forgot the 3.5G vram... you made a point there.

970 of course! the 290x is a heatmaker! the 970 is more stable (low voltage-heat) has some nice heat sinks designs and has guda cores which are good for editing software. (not a pro at this,but the 970 is aaaalot better.)

Well,i am running the second OS and i just install (again) the new bios... (and i have my old gpu too). when i try to run my glitched out OS ,safe mode or not,things wont work no matter what) same happens with the windows on the cd. so,running safe mode wont work with me. saying that i am lucky to have my other OS

I had this problem long time ago (when i got my new gpu) and for some reason,i couldnt use my keyboard and mouse(they wouldnt move in the screen,or type) i posted for help here,but after countless of hours, i found out that IF i use a windows repair cd,i could move them and could actually "recover" my system. and thats how i fixed the problem, Now,without actually thinking of what might happen,i putted my new gpu in then,and the same problem happend!!! So i wasnt paniced like last time... so ... i got the Cd i had,tried it... and for some reason the cd wont identify my hardware either... i am trapped. things to keep in mind i have tried to restart my bios... i have tried to remove the battery both keyboard and mouse ARE pluged in (Led on) this is my secondary hard-drive which i didnt even try to run while i had my new gpu on(which made it safe to use)(SSD in my main opperating system and in my hard drive,i have my old one)​ Any ideas? last thing i want is to send it to a proffecional...
