  1. I can always return something if it doesn't work (60 day returns are great). They really need to figure out this RGB hell and establish some proper standards that companies can follow to make it easier for consumers.
  2. I don't have my motherboard yet, but it will likely be an Asus mb. What I'm thinking right now, is to have top and bottom intake (Noctua Chromax fans) in my O11 Dynamic and exhaust on the side with 3 Corsair QL120 fans controlled with a commander pro. And for the Phanteks Neon strips I can get adapter cables so that it can work with the commander pro. Might need a lighting node thingy as well depending on the amount of LED strips. I think this will look quite good and then I only need icue and probably Asus Aura for the RAM.
  3. I am buying parts for my upcoming build and I am having some trouble when it comes to choosing components that have RGB. I will be using the RGB control to just have them be one color, most likely white. Currently I have these components: Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PCMR edition PSU: Corsair RM1000x RAM: 32gb (4x8) Gskill Trident Neo Components I'm considering: AIO: Considering the EK 360 AIO, I'm not sure if I want to the vardar fans. Fans: I have considered Noctua Chromax fans with Phanteks Halos but I read that some people are having problems especially with the blue channel that causes all other colors to change, which makes me want to stay away from that. Maybe I can go for some Corsair fans, EK vardars or something completely different idk. RGB strips: Really want to use the Phanteks Neon strips as they just look amazing. Don't know if there are other brands that do the same thing. Is there an easy solution to control these components as simply as possible? Other components that I plan to have in this build is one of the upcoming AMD cpu's and an RTX 3080 (maybe the FE) My goal with this post is finding out how to not end up with a ton of software to control different RGB components in my system, and still have the aesthetics I want. Although I understand that I probably can't control all of it from one place, but I don't want one program or controller per component. This post turned out to be a lot messier that I had planned, sorry about that.
  4. I have a 2080 Ti. I don't think I need a new graphics card
  5. Would it really be better for me though. The price of a 9900K is less than the 3900X. Although I'm not sure ho motherboard prices are these days.
  6. Thanks for the reply I'm not sure on budget yet, I'm still trying to figure out what to get. Are you sure I should go for R9 when looking for gaming performance? Which R9 cpu then? I have no experience using Ryzen so I have no idea.
  7. I'm considering upgrading my cpu and I think I'll either go for a Ryzen 3700X or a i9 9900K/KF/KS I just haven't decided how much money I want to spend yet. My main use is gaming and iirc Intel still delivers the best performance although at a high price compared to AMD. What are the currently best motherboards for those 2 CPU's? A big part in choosing a motherboard is of course features but I'm also interested in things like power delivery and cooling of the motherboard components. Some boards have waterblocks but that¨s not really what I'm after, as I'm probably going all air cooling. Formfactor will probably be ATX but I haven't decided on a case yet, so that isn't set in stone, could very well go for E ATX or something.
  8. I'm guessing you're quoting my signature. I haven't updated that in a while and it's mostly inaccurate by now. I should update it.
  9. Okay, thanks for the info. So a noctua d15 would have zero problems cooing a 9900K? Also is there any cons using Ryzen when i only use NVMe storage? I remember there being a difference on how intel and amd work with NVMe but i can't remember what that difference is
  10. I know I'll need a new motherboard and probably some new ram as well. I'm guessing Ryzen still benefits from having fast ram.
  11. Is there much difference between the 3700X or 3800X? Also I al considering the 3900X but idk. And a question about intel. Aren't their processors still really hot? And are there any common problems I should be aware of?
  12. I'm currently using an i7-6700K and I think I want to upgrade. I want to try AMD and I'm considering spending more than I usually have. Problem is I haven't been paying any attention to new tech products recently as I've been pretty satisfied with what I got. Only recent news I've seen is about the upcoming R9 3950X which is a 16 core cpu, which is probably over kill for gaming, but I honestly don't know anymore. What is generally the best Ryzen CPU for gaming these days? And I'm not totally sure about budget, but I'd say the 3950X price (750 USD) would be the absolute max. Also my GPU is a 2080 Ti if that matters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  13. I got the KBDfans sliders. Do you have lubing guide you can link me?
  14. I like the look and size of the Leopold. So I'm leaning towards that. I have the rings from KBDfans. Will the rings make them feel that off though? The rings are really thin. I've also heard it might be a good idea to lube the sliders on topre keyboards, especially when you replace the sliders
  15. I got a bad itch for a new keyboard atm. There are currently 2 keyboards that I am considering (feel free to mention other keyboards). -Leopold FC660C -REALFORCE R2 TKL PFU Limited Edition Are there any pros and cons I should be aware of before choosing any of these? I plan on changing the keycaps in the future and i have replacement sliders and silencing rings that I never used on my keyboard. Are there any complications with changing the keycaps? I read somewhere that there was something about the bottom row on the Leopold. I mainly want a smaller keyboard as my current one is too big. I have a UK Topre Realforce 105U 45g WE6100 currently.
