    I'm the best at everything.
  1. I just tried it without the thermal pad and everything seats properly. It wasn't touching the mosfet pads before, now it is also heres the included instructions just for prosperity
  2. I didn't put any thermal pads to the right of the capacitors, I just moved it there for a picture and set it back on the capacitors afterwords. If I don't need it then cool. was just curious cause EKs instructions say different things in two different places.
  3. The reason why not is that the block wont seat with the pads on there.
  4. So I've got an issue where the waterblock wont seat on the card. On the included instructions it says to place thermal pads on the circular things(mosfet?) in the linked picture. But on their website instructions it says no such thing. Can anyone here help me out with some info? Do I need to place thermal pads on these or not.
  5. I've looked all over the internet, yet can't find any of the information I need so I might as well ask here. Currently planning a build in a PC-O11WGX, wanting to use two 360mm rads, but am not sure how to go about it while maintaining the vertical GPU. These are the three options I was thinking about. Obviously not perfectly to scale.. First two are rather self explanatory. On the third, I would mount the fans on the space beneath the case, while mounting the radiator on the inside of the case, in hopes of being able to squeeze in the vertical GPU. For the giant open radiator mount on the side I was thinking about making it an intake and covering the holes with a grill(like this fellow has done. The grill the thread) I believe if I went with either of the top two options using the motherboard tray for one of the radiator mounts I'm going to have to either mount the radiator, or the fans on the back side of the tray. There is only 45mm clearance for the front IO wires so obviously cant fit a 45mm+25mm of fans So in conclusion; my basic questions are: If I use the top and bottom rad mounts, if I only put the rad on the inside, and the fans on the bottom of the case, will I be able to use the vertical GPU mount? and if I use the top and tray mounts, does anyone know the thickness I would have to use to be able to mount them like in the first picture? Thanks all. just a note: build is gonna be a 1080ti, and a 8700k delidded and overclocked as high as I can get them stabil.
  6. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right area, but the monitor sub forum is about the closest I can think of. I'm looking to mount 3 27" monitors on my wall with the ability to move at least the center monitor closer to me for FPS gaming. My reason for wanting to move it closer is my desk is 40"x8f and typically my eyes are about 36 inches away from the screen. I'd like it to be within less than two foot Monitors are a single PG279Q, and dual VZ27AQs. Basically looking for recommendations, triple mount or three separate single mounts?
  7. Not really interested in 3 GPUs, don't want to deal with the heat of it. Its more about what I can get by with, if two 970s is already cutting it in all the games I play then wasting 350 more dollars on 3 of them is pointless.
  8. I can't really find anything for performance benchmarks at 3440x1440, so I figured I'd ask. Is it worth the extra 500 bucks for dual 980s over dual 970s for this? They're still 60hz displays, so anything over 60 really isn't that big of a deal. Just really want to keep my minimums up.
  9. I guess at this point should I go with 2x 970 for the ~450dollars of price saving over the 980s?
  10. Thanks. I suppose at this point I'm probably going to go with the 21:9. As long as it wasn't completely umcompatible in most games I was more likely to do with it anyway. Its easier to drive too!
  11. So I'm deciding on the LG 34UM95, and the asus 4k one(Don't remember the name). I'm curious as to the feedback. I really want the 21:9 ratio, as its very lucrative. What I'm worried about is the compatibility with games. I'll be looking at playing really anthing, WoW, Fable:A, DA:I, and really anything else that is going to come out in the future I suppose.
  12. Looks like its got the same rad options as the 900D? Its about 300.
  13. I've already got the SSD, and I figured I'll be streaming quite a bit so the 5930k would help a decent bit.
  14. Its that time of the year again, upgrade time! This year I'm looking at 4k on a 3500 dollar budget. I mostly am going to Mixed FPS games with lots of WoW and Racing Games/Sims http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Adaraas/saved/rqpFf7 This is what I have so far. Any improvements I could make? Suggestions?
  15. I really wish people would stop recommending korean monitors. Theres so many other problems that you get with korean monitors. It dies? Oh shit, guess what, have fun waiting a month for anything Too many dead pixels? refer to above. Everyone else has much better warranty support, when the korean one has basically none. The backlight bleededing is awful.
