I'm looking into the Gigabyte z170-x Gaming 6 (I don't like how the Gaming 7 looks with the white finish), MSI z170A gaming 7, and the Asus Maximus VIII Hero, I think they're all on the same pricerange. I've been a gamer for quite a while now and I'm just now getting into PC building, and I've done some research and heard some issues with Asus customer service, MSI build quality and I haven't heard anything bad about Gigabyte, other than some minor Bios issues.
I understand that at some point all brands will offer same, or close, to the same quality. Sometimes there are extra features that a brand might offer, or different designs that a person might like the best, or they just like the idea of the branding or logo, however that's what I'm looking to discus. Comparing these brands to one another is kind of pointless, my question here is which brand would YOU pick, and WHY, meaning what's your point of view in the z170 mobos we have available from these brands, and the just released 1070 GPU's. Each brand has something to offer that will appeal to every one of us, the question is what makes you buy Asus, is it their build quality? The idea of being a ROG buyer, or you buy Gigabyte because they're reliable all across their products, or maybe MSI cus you like that sick dragon logo.
