  1. Yeah the first one i installed was from their site so it must have been default DCH as it was telling me to get control panel from the store. So i did the advanced search on their site and downloaded standard.] I honestly don't know what to do those purple and green pixels all over the screen don't popup during stress tests gaming nothing. I've reinstalled the drivers 4 times now even made sure windows update was disabled and even unplugged the ethernet cable just to make sure nothing funny was going on.
  2. Maybe that had something to do with it but i highly doubt it. After i installed the new drivers and rebooted the first time i did this it kept spamming me about nvidia control panel isn't installed on the Microsoft store lol is there something wrong with these drivers?
  3. It happened again not long after i installed the new drivers. I did DDU in safe mode rebooted installed in normal windows turned my PC off came back a hour later booted my PC up it came to the bios loading screen then the colour pixel show started and the control panel was gone again lol Then after 2 reboots pixels are gone and everything is back to normal. I've googled that code and some other peoples come up with The following information was included with the event: \Device\Video3 but mine doesn't its just a code.
  4. The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: 0a97(2b84) 00000000 00000000 The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table This is the only one that points toward a component.
  5. It doesn't make sense that geforce experience is still on my PC when this happens every morning but the control panel isn't. Even if i search for it in search box it's not there and when i open GFE it tries to install drivers again lol After a reboot or 2 its back to normal and the weird coloured pixels all over the screen vanish.
  6. Hey everyone! So yesterday i booted up my PC to see a load of purple artifact pixel type things over my screen. I got into windows and rebooted and it went away and thought maybe it was a driver problem so i did the DDU in safe mode installed the latest drivers 441.66 and swapped my DP cable for a brand new one just in case. I booted up this morning and it was back! Once it got into windows i went to turn my second monitor on to see if the purple things were on that screen but when i right clicked on my desktop nvidia control panel wasn't there it wasn't even in my system tray or in task manager / processes. After 2-3 reboots control panel is back and every is back to normal lol I've tried stress tests like furmark / 3dmark / unigine superposition and the graphics card has been just fine with not artifacting or any weirdness. Any idea's what i should do? As i've never experienced this before.
  7. The max board comes with the updated bios for the new ryzen. I've been googling around and have seen quite a few people complaining about post and boot times as 30-40 seconds really is a joke if im honest.
  8. Hey so just last night i build my new PC 3700x msi b450 tomahawk max 32gb Crucial Ballistix Sport 1tb 970 m.2 nvme According to task manager last bios time was 31.3 seconds? My previous build with 4790k and a normal ssd would boot in sub 14-15 seconds. I've read some issues about this on forums like Overclockers but i can't seem to find a fix anywhere for it. Is it a motherboard problem or something to do with the chip? I also saw on their to change it from legacy+uefi boot to just uefi and no change. I've checked the boot order and my m.2 is the main boot drive i made sure to even unplug all existing drives to make sure it was the #1 on the list. Please help this is driving me crazy :(
  9. If that PC is just going to be doing the rendering you might aswell just throw a 2700x or something in there they're going cheap af right now.
  10. I'm currently waiting for this g skill trident neo ram but i'm quite sure it's going to be expensive.
  11. I'm pretty convinced on the AIO if im honest with you! Personally i'm thinking of just getting a x570 board and getting it to work right out of the box lol The amount of posts on AMD reddit with people having problems with x470 and b450 boards is crazy. I'm just scared of that little fan on the board dieing.

Anything i could change or does this look okay? I was going to change the 860 evo to a 970 m.2 but pc part picker was saying "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled." I'm somewhat sure i would be okay but i'm not 100% sure.
  13. Yeah true. I'm struggling to find a board that i'm not going to have to mess about with bios updates and such
  14. Okay i'll see what i can find. cl16-17 is what i'm looking for right?
  15. Yeah people said the new 3000 series would be the best bet to wait for so i did.
  16. You did read the part about streaming at the same time right?
  17. Hey all so i'm deciding to bite the bullet and spend some cash on a rig for gaming / streaming. I was wondering if you guys could help shed some light in helping me decide. The problem is i have no idea what to choose lol I've been looking at the ryzen 3700x / 3900x and i believe either one would be surfice for doing the job probably the 3900x for more cpu demanding games. The next confuson comes from the motherboard do i go for the x570 or get a x470? I'm personally not a fan of the little fan on some of the x570 motherboards. My budget is just over £2000. I'll be gaming at 1080p as i have a 144hz gsync monitor already. If needed i could use my current gtx 1080 if a new gpu exceeds the budget. Thanks for reading!
  18. What do you mean the prime isn't meant for gaming?
  19. Hey everyone! My current rig is 4790k z97x gaming 5 16gb dd3 hyperx fury ram evga 1080 I will be using the 1080 in the new rig as its doing just fine for 1080p 144hz but will probably upgrade that down the line! Plus i'll be using the h100i v2 for the CPU cooler aswell. So the new parts i'm considering upgrading too are i9 9900k or the i9 9700k still not sure on which too get! or should i wait for the new ryzen 3000 series? Asus - Prime Z370-A i'm not sure if this is one of the mobo's that need the bios update or not G.Skill - Trident Z 3200mhz DDR4 ram. I've been saving up for a little while now and i've finally got the money to upgrade I also know that only upgrading those parts i won't see a fps change as im not upgrading the GPU aswell. Thoughts on what i should do? have money burning a hole in my pocket! lol I've been told to get the ryzen 2700x but my intel fanboy won't allow it! haha
  20. Hey guys! So i'm planning on upgrading my rig as i'm planning to get back into streaming and the games im playing currently my CPU just doesn't seem to have the power to do so :(. Games i'm playing currently are Apex Legends / BFV / Black ops 4 / Anthem (thanks to origin premier) just to name a few. My rig currently is i7 4790k @ 4.7ghz z97x gaming 5 mobo GTX 1080 EVGA SC 16gb DDR3 hyperX fury ram @ 1866mhz EVGA Supernova 750W PSU I'm not looking to upgrade the GPU now as i bought that 1080 a couple months ago previously had a 970. I was looking at maybe going to a i7 8700k? but from what i've seen on userbenchmark and benchmarks on YouTube and such it doesn't look that much more powerful than my current CPU. I'm not sure what to do! Please help me decide on what to do!
  21. I just don't understand if i unplug it from the motherboard this should just stop as there is nothing there anymore lol
