  1. Alright so after seeing the Blender performance with Intel Optane in the latest Ltt upload, I was wondering if it would be possible to do this with my Ryzen 7 1700x build. Because of the high polymodels I create within Blender eats up my 16gb of 3066mhz of ddr4 when working on the models and rendering. So I would like to know if it is even possible to use Optane in the way shown on x370 or if it would be better to get an Nvme drive to use as a ramdisk...
  2. Alright so I am am trying to recover data off a WD30EZRX hard drive, I have one that has data and another which is supposed to be for parts. Mechanically I did some tests on the drives and the controller spins it up slows it down moves the arm sensor but the drive fails to be detected on several computers even when I swap out the controller board with the part drives board, they are both undetected regardless of controller board. Anyone know anything else to try? At this point I have tried everything I can think of but it still remains an enigma... I have tried these on Sata 1, 2 and 3, Amd and Intel systems and Sata to USB adapters...
  3. So Compaq put a pre 2004 psu in a 2010 computer
  4. So i got a Compaq prebuilt that works fine but it has a Bestec 250 watt power supply with a 20 pin motherboard connector with a 24 pin motherboard, should I continue using it with this power supply or replace it with an Orion P4-485 power supply that has a 24 pin connector? It's a battle of bad power supplies...
  5. Alright so I tore a Keurig 2.0 K400 apart and got the 2.5" resistive touch Lcd module that I am having issues finding any information on, can someone help? Here is all the stuff on the module: back of the panel: 52160040 SJ24082A 140721 Ribbon cable: CTM240320T29 V1.0 E309144 94V-0 CT-1 1430 Touch overlay: AT 0988 A1 2.5 D4 I am trying to drive this lcd with an Arduino or Raspberry Pi, I will be looking for info by trying more variations of these strings but if I find something I will put it here.
  6. Now what do you think would be better sanding with the flow of the water or against?
  7. I should add that I don't mean putting a watercooling block on the bare die, I intend to make the top of the die a coldplate and have the water on the actual die.
  8. But then the water won't interact with the cpu die as much, wouldn't sanding act as small water channels on the die?
  9. So I have a Amd Athlon II x2 245 that I am intent on torturing until it dies, I have delided it and am planning on direct die watercooling it. Would a light sanding kill it? Here is a video for reference of what I am working with right now:
  10. So I have been mining with my 1060 and have around $100 USD in Ethereum. I want to try to sell it so I can buy some ddr4 ram, any suggestions on how I can sell it?
