In safe mode, the RAM usage is 1.3 GB. I think my laptop will run at 4.5 GB idle because in the there are a lot of apps running in the background which are essential (adobe, nvidia, asus, samsung magician(RAPID mode) etc). So, I think there is nothing that I can do for this issue.

There is no bloatware on my laptop, although I use a lot of Adobe apps. I have already watched that video but they didn't give any solution to fix this problem.

I have an Asus Gl503VD laptop & I have upgraded its RAM to 16GB. My problem is that even at idle my laptop uses 4.5 GB RAM. Any solution/reason for this?

My laptop wasn't doing this a couple of days ago. So, how is it normal? I have undervolted my laptop using Intel XTU, is XTU causing the trouble? -
I have an ASUS GL503 which has an i7 7700HQ processor. From a couple of days ago it has started to Turbo Boost at idle. It goes up to 3.6 GHz at idle, which makes the laptop hot while watching videos & drains the battery faster. I have checked everything, no program is running in the background & I have kept the performance at balanced. Any suggestions?

I need a 15.6 inch screen. So far I have found Asus vivobook s15. I am just concerned about the screen brightness (I read in a review that its brightness is very low). I don't need a super bright screen (i know it's not possible in my budget) but I don't want a screen with very low brightness.

Thanks. I was also checking this laptop but I am not so sure about the screen. In some reviews, there are complaints regarding the screen brightness.

Can anyone please suggest a decent laptop with i5 8250U & MX150 graphics. The battery backup should be good.

Thank you. I have tried contacting the support (India) but I am not getting a clear response. They are acting like they don't know anything about coil whine even though I explained it to them. I hope you have better Asus support in UK.
