  1. Thanks I will take a look again. Its sad that the exact same setup worked perfectly a few months ago and after sitting for that time it just doesn't want to work. Hopefully I am just being a noob... One can only hope! Thanks again!
  2. Ill give that all a shot. I wanted it done before Christmas, if worse comes to worse I can always use the stock cooler until I get the new one back from RMA. Just a bummer the unit worked so well before and now it just gave up on me....
  3. I don't understand how it would be mounted incorrectly as I have remounted the radiator several times. The fan run completely fine... You think I should replace the unit?
  4. Its exactly the same way and its all plugged in right I have triple checked!
  5. Its certainly possible... That was my last resort, replace the cooler and try something different. I don't know how it wasn't used a lot and when it was it worked completely fine on the exact same Motherboard and Processor...
  6. Whats up guys? I am building a friend of mines a new computer but using some parts I have had just laying around. Obviously not just laying around they were protected and safe but anyways... I am running into an issue. The motherboard I am using is the Z170A MSI Gaming M5 and the processor is the i5-6600k. I put a Corsair H100i GTX on to cool the processor. The issue I am running into is that the motherboard in BIOS says my CPU is getting close to 90C. It will start at 40C but gradually scale up to 90C. I have tried putting a different thermal paste on twice now, I have tried different CPU headers, I have recent the CMOS and tried re positioning the entire unit. I don't understand why the motherboard isn't detecting my radiator and why its getting so hot! Please help a fellow out, Gavin
  7. Well , I am currently and have been for awhile now rocking the Corsair K65. I love it, don't get me wrong. What I want to know is, what are you guys using for a gaming keyboard for FPS type games or any really. I am curios and just looking for something new to pick up. I have looked at the Ducky Shine series and also have been looking at some WASD keyboards. The switches I have now are Cherry MX Red. I have been looking at Blues or Browns! Thanks so much for the feedback!
  8. Right so their is no way for me to run it through the power supply it has to be to an outlet?
  9. Yeah I mean I get all of that and appreciate it! So do I just wrap the led around my case and wire everything out to an outlet on my wall or is there anyway I can use the power from my psu?
  10. Would it be worth buy just a cheap board offline to test it?
  11. Alright guys, their is my strange problem. To help with confusion I will give little back story. I bought the i7-4790k for a great price and was really happy with my purchase. As a gift, my father decided to buy me the motherboard just to help me out a little. He got me a motherboard that has a CPU Socket of 1151, the new Skylakes is what the motherboard was for. I didn't think much of it because he is a tech savvy guy. Anyways, after countless trouble shoots I take the CPU out of the socket to double check if it was seated wrong and when I took the actual processor out the bottom right corner was slightly bent. I guess my question is, if I get the right motherboard for my i7 do you think it will work even if it is slightly bent or am I out of luck? Thanks for the responds, I am slowly learning!
  12. Damn... Thanks What about random stutter I get when I play different games?
