  1. Also guys do remember rather than spending it on a cheaper GFX solution I opted for the matrox is it fits my demand of a PCIE x1 slot GFX card and I want to invest into them just to make them survive in the market a little longer.
  2. Okay so with my current system being pretty ballers already, I want to make it more and more ballers as time goes along. So I came to a pretty hardcore build plan. The whole idea is for my whole setup to consist of a total of 4 displays or more. i already have One 25 inch monitor on the table. The plan is to situate two more 27 inch monitors above hooked to the wall to watch movies in 1080p (because i dont prefer 4K yet). I want to make the desk monitors for strictly work purposes. So let's just say I want to have two graphics cards from completely different brands working separately on their own drivers, one driving the bottom displays and the other one driving the top displays. Can the two cards work in harmony without crashing along with each other and causing BSODs? PS:- I am intending to use a Matrox G550 as the GFX board for the above displays because I won't game on them and I want to reserve the PCIE 16x slot for hopefully another card in the future. The G550 uses the PCIe x1 slot by the way.
  3. So I want to ask a question here. First of all I am not a big gamer. I have given in to the occasional temptation of playing Dirt 3 or something like Paragon but the main reason I use a computer in the first place is to make music or to practice on the skills on music Production. The only game I play mostly is league of legends which I'm sure can run on a potato. But this is the main question I have here. I currently have an intel core i5 6600 for my PC and I am going strong on saving up for a future build. Should I invest in an AMD CPU depending on the type of work I do? AMD has very good overall core utilization which FL studio (the DAW i use) can use very well but single core utilization is very weak compared to intel, but then single core utilization is mostly brought to the limelight in gaming workloads, which I seldom use in the first place. I compared the i5 6600 to the AMD FX 8350 and not only is it cheaper than the intel counterpart but it pushed out a much more impressive cinebench overall core test. So the question is, should I get an AMD processor for a future build based on these circumstances or just stick with intel and wait in patience till there's more dough in my already riddled pockets? Oh, and also do keep in mind that I support AMD graphics cards more than Nvidia. If that might help the people in answering this question.

    Hello

Hello, Wello, Potato, gello my bello...... Frank walker from national tiles has no end... So will the price increases of apple MacBook Pros from years to come....
  5. How about the older ones? Tech does get cheap when they get older and older.
  6. Sometimes if it drags on to outside the box then that would mean they would also have to cover expenses for the peripherals and that would cause problems on budgets and the internet hardware and whatnot. It is a concept which i suggested also.
  7. So I've been wondering... which I tend to do a lot, "Will there be another scrapyard wars episode series?". I've really enjoyed all of the scrapyard wars episodes to date and I've been sort of curious as to why there aren't even any hints of a new episode series to come based on another topic. If anyone minds here are some ideas which might interest the audience: 1. An extreme but budget enthusiast PC build on extremely high end hardware for workstations such as quadros or teslas on the cheap. 2. A steampunk based scrapyard wars build which might also investigate cooling solutions incoorporating the steam punk vibe or possibly a fully steampunk based cooling system. 3. Build a supercomputer... I know it's highly related to the first topic but I would really like the tech team really going far into the world of enthusiast computing enough to make a supercomputer for the cheap and do benchmarks based on compute performance to see who can win for the best bang for the buck computer. 4. A scrapyard wars episode against NCIX tech tips and Linus tech tips. This has NOTHING to do with hardware ideas whatsoever but I would love to see both teams battling it out for possible esoteric ideas such as "Best budget multitask rig" or "Oldest computer you can possibly build" challenges and maybe loser gets to do bellyflops on the local pool? 5. Last but not least but covered in topic "4". Oldest PC you can build. Now almost ALL of the scrapyard wars episodes focus heavily on performance. But then what about age? I would personally love to see Luke and Linus battling out based on their pure experiences on PC gaming from their childhood and make a computer as old as possible which can also game. It doesnt matter if it's 2D or 3D games. This is concerning the extreme enthusiast based topics, as this is a scrapyard wars episode i think it is possible to buy old quadros or teslas for the cheap. That is why I suggested such ideas in the first place. I would love to hear the forum members thoughts on this. Sorry For the long post? Heres.... Nothing...
  8. I see you like OMFG. Mashed potatoes is my jam.
  9. Okay so this has been bugging me a while when I was contemplating about this forum and the question is, "Where is the Linus Tech Tips forum even?". So I know where the service is and the web address but what is exactly the physical location of this forum? Is it in house over at the LTT Headquarters or is it hosted by an external hosting servicing like Amazon? If it is then how can they even afford the amount of internet which requires to host this website even and coupled with maintenance and other factors? I know might have been covered by Linus or the crew somewhere in their library of Videos but to be honest i'm a very recent subscriber and I'm very sure the video/s lost somewhere in the vast amount of videos in the channel. So therefore, I'm seeking answers from the people of this big forum.
