  1. Update: So the i7 worked and of course I am very happy about that. The i5 didn't work, the motherboard just let out 4 beeps which means system error or something like that, but yeah, the i5 doesn't work. I think the i5 came from a PC with a broken motherboard(or fried) don't know exactly so maybe that's why or maybe I need to clean the contacts with the metal thing and heat(don't remember the name) but a lot of you probably know it and maybe then it will work, if I have that and the time I'll try that too. Anyways, very happy that the i7 worked and thank you Ronothan for pushing me to try it.
  2. Hello! So I have a couple of questions about these 2 processors I have. On the pins of the i5 a very young cousin drew with a black marker and I've tried cleaning it with a brush and alcohol and in the pictures(1 and 2) is the result after cleaning. Do you think I could put this in a motherboard and chances of it working? I got a PC for free and it has an i3 second gen and I don't want to fry up the motherboard or something worse. The i7 has a missing component on the back(capacitor I think but I am not sure) that you can hopefully see in picture 3. Does that prevent it from working? Should I try testing it with the PC I got or maybe I should just avoid it in case it screws with something like the motherboard and kills it? Basically I have these CPUs and I would like to put one of them in to upgrade the PC and sell it for very cheap to someone who doesn't have a PC, but with the i3 is a little slow so I would like to have the i5 or preferably the i7 to boost the performance for home/office use. Thank you in advance for all the answers! And hope I didn't break any rule by posting this.
  3. Well that sucks. This motherboard+processor+ram was everything I could afford when I bought it, couldn't afford anything newer so yeah. F Ai Suite and F Asus for not supporting it anymore. Thanks for all your help guys! Sorry to take your time...
  4. Do I download Ai Suite from other motherboards? Because the one that I downloaded is the newest one for my motherboard and I can't find a download Ai Suite general if you understand. I think it's motherboard specific or something.
  5. I just went on the support page on their site for my motherboard and downloaded Ai Suite 3 from there.
  6. So I am trying to install Asus Ai Suite 3 for my Asus H81-GAMER motherboard and it just says "Can't open AsIO.sys !! ( 2 ). Can someone help me please? I would really appreciate this. I've seen some people saying that after a Windows reinstall it worked but I really don't want to do that because I would need to install back all the drivers and do all the settings all over again and that takes me between 1 and 2 hours...maybe even more I don't really watch the time when I do that but it really feels like ages. So if someone can help me I would really really appreciate it.
  7. You don't really need the better boost speed, you can just overclock if you want more Mhz. Just look on youtube for benchmarks 1070 Ti vs 1660 Ti and choose which one has better FPS in games and which you can get cheaper in your country. Like if they give the same FPS or maybe 5 Fps difference just go with the one you can get cheaper.
  8. So as the title says I have a problem with Mafia II, the game launches, the picture intro with PhysX by Nvidia shows but the video intro doesn't and my game doesn't go to the main menu it just stays black, I can Alt-Tab, I can start Task Manager, it doesn't show "Not responding" in task manager either, I can close it from task manager and try to open it again and it's the same. I've tried reinstalling the game, deleting videoconfig file, reinstalling PhysX, runnning in compatibility mode for Windows 7, running the game as administrator, running Steam as an administrator. This is the video showing the problem, don't know if I can post youtube links here so I am sorry if it's not ok but it's just showing my problem. The problem started like this: Yesterday I wanted to install a trainer to have some fun in Mafia 2 because I've finished the story like 5-6 times by now and it's still amazing but as I said I wanted to have some fun and I've seen this https://www. nexusmods .com/mafia2/mods/114(just get the link together, sorry for posting other site link but again just so the people can see what it is, not recommending to download at all as my game began to have problems). I downloaded the trainer, installed as it said in the readme file and the game launched, it worked and I could play the game, the only problem was that I didn't have my save game anymore, I had a backup save game of course and I put that in, it didn't work, the game started with no problems, got to the main menu but again no save game so I reinstalled the game and then this problem appeared and now I can't even play the game anymore after reinstalling it 5 times(2 times in drive C, 3 times in drive D where it originally was). And I did everything I said in the first place so if anybody can help me I would really really really appreciate it.
  9. It didn't. I was sure. Because a full windows reinstall deletes everything so it's even better than DDU if you think about it. Well, guess I'll return it.
  10. A good one has more than 30 amps on 12v right? Or more?
  11. I will try DDU and if it doesn't work that's it, I will just send it back because the only other PSU I have is my personal one and I don't want to get that out of my PC just to try to make this GPU work because I'm not gonna put my own PSU in that system and to not have my PC anymore so it's no point in trying other PSU. I am not trying to spend even more on that PC, I just wanted to put one togheter because I had parts lying around and I just ordered a GPU which I thought it would be ok with that PSU. So yeah, no point in trying it with another PSU. Thanks for your help.
