Hello and welcome to my litte part of this forum, I am a tech and game geek which is interested in computer hardware, games, music(all kinds), basic sound systems and pick up my guitar once in a while;)

I may add all types of technology i find very fun and interesting to work with.

While I'm not doing any of my hobbies i work as a alarm installer. which means installing, burgular- and firealarms, CCTV, passage systems and smaller server systems for companies, or private persons.

Thank you for checking out my home here on LinusTechTips and i hope you enjoyed your visit, I'm sure I did.

  1. Interesting, do you have any tips of a external soundcard? I have had a hard time finding any for a decent price, it could be that i'm looking at wrong places. if you know one which is about same price as the STX i would love for you to tell me so i can check it out=), as for the headphones i will take a look at them. Thanks for your reply:)
  2. Looks really cool, I liked the stickers? on the graphics card very nice idea :P Good job!
  3. Hello everyone! I have decided to finally upgrade my audio setup and replace my Vengeance 1500 with a sound card and headphones. The reason for this is because i want higher audio quality and because i have bought me a Samson Cu03 condenser microphone. I have myself been looking into the AT MH50s, seems like really good headphones for the price. is there any other headphones in this price range of the AT MH50s that can be compared to them? As the soundcard I've been looking at the obvious STX from asus, although i wonder i have plans on later to buy a 2.1 system for my computer and wonder if i can have both connected at the same time in the STX so there won't have to be any switching to and from behind the computer. Also Is it worth buying the STX? the 2.1 system is (http://www.inet.se/produkt/6307206/edifier-s730-gaming-2-1) or can i make it with a cheaper option? because the price level of the headphones and the STX is really straining my budget. my budget is not a set value i just need to have at least 150-200$ left once i bought these items and this setup puts me at about 130$ Thanks for you help and tips!!! Best Regards Odde
  4. I'm Back! Have been abit inactive lately and when i picked up my gpu i didnt have time to post pictures and such here so i have just put that aside until today! Decided to post the rest since it feels sad leaving this log half done. The gpu i got were the Sapphire HD 7970 Ghz edition you can see it here: I also decided to buy some RGB- LED stripes from Ikea :D to pimp my screen with abit, i only took pictures of Red and Blue but they can do the entire colour wheel thingy. The red one looks very agressive which i like, however the blue one is my favorite since i think it matches my background much better!! Anyhow, the build log is now complete:) so i'm satisfied, hopefully you who read it now after i edited it enjoys it;) i had alot of fun making it although i had plans on posting more pictures of the build, but thats for improvements in the future on other builds. Have a nice day, and thank you for taking a look at my build log!! // Odde
  5. Thank you ;) will hopefully pick up the 7970 from sapphire today
  6. By the way, do you think if i buy a corsair sleeved cable set that it'll work with the fractal psu? considering that there's probably a standard on how the 6 pin should be etc so it should theoretically work with my psu?
  7. okay, now i understand, yea i could try to do that i just need more cable ties first :P too bad standard cables for psus doesnt come with more quality, but leaning toward a sleeved cable kit at the end of april, do not have enough time to sleeve myself and its cheaper to buy them done.
  8. I would say its black/brownish' date=' when you tilt it in some directions it can look brown but otherwise it looks black to me and yeah the wiring is bad, didn't spend too much time on it. i also always bunch up the cables together since i can't stand having them spread out on the back, could be a work damage since i am a electrician. [/quote'] Better have it a cluster on the back where it's not disrupting your airflow than in the front where it does. Trust me, unless you are completely reckless, the Define R4 has TONS of room back there for cables. I have 6 hard drives in mine right now along with everything you have and then some lights and all that jazz, I still have room to spare back there for cable management. (I have the R4 as well btw) Edit: I just noticed you have a midi lol, sorry, either way, Fractal Design is great about allowing plenty of room back there. Just give it a shot, I bet you can get it all back there without having to worry. well nothing is in the front, the only thing is that i have prepared the 2 6+2 pin cables for the graphics card which i will hopefully get tomorrow, otherwise nothing is in the way of the airflow, exept where the psu is because i can't make them invisible. i think my photo became not too good wise for the cable management, i'll might try take another one.

  12. wow thanks! that were very easy understandable, now i know i can overclock the way i thought, which were increasing the multiplier and a tad bit vcore
  13. Hello people. In my new build i will have a 3570k, and been planning on overclocking it, hopefully to at least 4Ghz. And i have never overclocked before, i have been reading some guides however some of them is very detailed and is in some cases also in a more difficult written english so i have a hard time keeping up. Would like a easy begginners guide on how to do it, and from my searches i havent had the luck in finding one. As i said my processor is a 3570k, the motherboard is a MSI Z77A-GD65 and i also have a Noctua nh-d14 cooler for my 3570k Hopefully i can get linked or so to a guide you guys find good or if you want to write it here in the comments it's up to you=) Eather way thanks for your help, its much appreciated. //Odde
