  1. I have gotten a windows update but I cant confirm if that's the problem. Not a single one of my other games have this problem.
  2. Thats not bad. I've never had a fan issue so I wouldn't know what it takes to replace
  3. Like I said I already did that and unfortunately it didn't work.
  4. Yeah exactly, thats the sucky part. Hopefully its fine tho. You could always just zip tie case fans to it like linus did in the ugly pc build lol.
  5. You could run kombustor from afterburner and use the built in artifact scanner to check for artifacts And yes, defiantly check the fans. Fans that run at high RPM for long periods of time can whine or just die sooner than you would like.
  6. Recently I launched destiny 2 to play for a bit and all of a sudden the performance was just absolutely terrible. No settings had been changed and no driver updates since I last played. I run at 1440p max settings normally and would get 90-100 fps. Now, no matter what resolution or settings, I get 40-50 fps with horrible mouse lag. None of my other games have this issue. All of them max out 100% gpu usage like they should. But destiny get 50% (or lower) at 1440p and just lower with the resolution. (20% at 720p). Cpu is at 30% max on any of the threads so it cant be a bottleneck (especially cause it used to run fin and all my other games still run fine). I've removed my oc on gpu and cpu, reinstalled drivers( with ddu), reinstalled the game, and reset all of my nvidia settings( yes I know ddu did that, but just for good measure). I just cant understand why this is happening and only in this game. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 1800x @3.9ghz RAM: 32gb corsair lpx@2400 (slow for ryzen I know, I'm upgrading it soon) GPU: RTX 2070 PSU: evga supernova 750w Please help. TIA
  7. Just realized its still happening in destiny 2. Around 60% utilization. Poor fps
  8. Hopefully it gets fixed. Its ridiculous that I have such a high end rig and cant get 60 fps in this game on medium settings
  9. I actually did do that. I saw maybe a 1-5 fps difference. So its a cpu problem with the engine?
  10. Im gonna try rolling back my drivers. And its not the card. My 1060 did the same thing. Must be either power, cpu, or ffs RAM. Other than that I dont know.
  11. Apologies for the screenshot i have multiple displays. That is about the normal performance I get in the open world. You can see my task manager above
