  1. interesting update. (will make no sense) >installed a fresh windows to an ssd (currently using hdd) with the same configuration >unplugged hdd, plugged in ssd >used onboard gpu for installation, unplugged dedicated gpu >install finished but was too lazy to install all the drivers etc. wanted to play rocket league >unplugged ssd again >plugged back hdd, plugged back dedicated gpu >old system now works without problems >mfw
  2. thanks man, I'll definitely try that. I'll let you know what happened.
  3. thanks for your contribution. I too found sources suggesting the same idea and the fact that onboard GPU runs without problems only confirms this theory. Although it's funny that the gpu is the 'youngest' part of the system (also the hdd) and breaks first. The only reason why I'm not entirely sure, is because this only happens at startup and so far never during actual gpu load. Restarts are also okay, but Sleep triggers the same problem. Maybe the GPU's onboard memory acts similarly to RAM and flushes data out when not powered? That would defo explain everything. as for the double post:
  4. have tried fresh multiple windows versions all seemed to have the same problem dont post if you dont have anything to contribute
  5. Dear LTT members and people who are more computer literate than me. I've got a very old pc pls dont hate: core 2 quad q6600, gigabyte ga-g33m-ds2r, 4gb kingston 800mhz ram, sapphire hd 7850. it still works. sort of. Recently I started getting blue screens with the 'device thread stuck in driver' error message. It seems like the problem is with the video card driver, because when I used the onboard graphics (lel can you imagine?) I dont get the bluescreen. But the plot thickens. If I let it crash and restart after immediately, windows loads normal and I can play rocket league with no problems at all. So my prime suspect is the RAM, because of its volatile nature. Problem seems to occur only after complete shutdown. So my 2 questions to you would be: -Is it a general health problem for a PC to begin every startup with a bluescreen crash? (Im mostly afraid for the sata hdd because of its contents) -Is there a way to fix the problem without getting any new parts for the pc? (tbh I would rather buy a new system eventually than trying to fix this old hero) Many thanks Levi
  6. i must learn how to hack and kick everyones ass off the internet
  7. wow, with fing i just discovered that there are only 12 aps in the house, which means im pretty lucky to have this in my room. also this means i cant disconnect anyways... thanks for the help guys

  9. let me share my experience: i bought a sennheiser ie8 a few years ago, which is arguably amongst the top earbuds. (sorry didnt mean to brag) it comes with i think 10 different pairs of earbud tips, varying in shape size and material. after checking all of it, i found the best of them, but i felt like i was scammed. it sounded good but not that good. im sure you know this little trick, when pushing the earbuds gently into your ears, you suddenly get this awesome bass performance boost and everything generally sounds better. so i knew the earphones actually sounded better, it was the matter of channeling it right. so after some research i found out, that companys who are dealing with hearing aids technology, are usually capable of creating you a custom eartip. there are home made solutions, but having a professional do it is a lot more reassuring. they put a two component silicon in your ear and after is set, they remove it, and in the lab your earbud connection is also perfectly copied. they create a channel in the tip, straight from the speakers to your ears. now this sounds a bit too dangerous but listen to this. because the tip is shaped like your ear canal, it fits perfectly, effectively canceling out nearly all of the outside noise. this allows you to listen to music with lower volumes and because the sound goes straight to your ears, you can further reduce volumes. it gave my earphones the best update ever, i always hear headblowing bass, finally i understood why so many people praised the ie8. tldr; regardless of the price range of an earbud, channeling the sound is essential. standard eartips might not suit you, so getting custom made ones will likely increase the user experience
  10. Hello guys, I recently moved to austria and i currently live in a house used only by staff members of a company. Surprisingly, every room has a ubiquity access point (at least mine does for sure), which delivers a solid 25/3mbps. (setup is as seen on picture) Still for some reason im lagging in rocket league (playing on eu servers only). I have an Intel ac 7260, so i believe that cant be the problem.(also the ap and the pc are at point blank range) SKIP HERE FOR THE QUESTION: Can I disconnect the ap, and use the ethernet connection directly on my pc? If yes, can it cause any trouble on the network? (also: will the admin see that I changed the connection (prolly yes but still asking)) Bonus question: Does austria have a strict torrenting/downloading policy as germany? Thank you everyone, your answers are greatly appreciated!
  11. thanks for the reply! after installing gapps package on the os, it became suuuper laggy. i went back to cm 11 which can handle google services without performance issue, and usb storage works fine as well.
  12. hello guys. just installed the latest cm13 on my old motorola. works fine so far but its not recognised by my pc. i had to install motorola device drivers, in order to work with adb. i havent tried uninstalling the device driver, cuz i fear of losing adb functionality. how can i get the pc to recognise my mass storage? (selecting mtp/ptp doesnt work) thanks!
  13. so you reckon, I should preload the driver for the new card?
  14. thanks. I thought the same, but a confirmation from someone else is reassuring. My only worry was, whether windows will recognise it without internet connection.
  15. Hello Forumers, Im planning to upgrade the wifi card (some Intel Centrino N) in my Razer Edge, to Intel AC7260. My question would be: shall I uninstall the driver in Device Manager before I take the old card out? Thank you very much in advance!!!
