  1. One other thing.. can i use a 3 or 4 way SLI bridge, even with just 2 cards? Like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/111706732639?lpid=122&chn=ps&googleloc=9046498&poi=&campaignid=620865095&device=c&adgroupid=27378760866&rlsatarget=pla-181484362146&adtype=pla&crdt=0 Thanks!
  2. Thats perfect!! I only did it to test the temps, it was removed after 5 mins! Thank you!!
  3. Yea i was thinking that may be the only way to drop the top card 20 degrees would be to watercool it, but ive never done it before so was a little weary
  4. Theres nowhere to put them, its tempered glass to the side of them
  5. Thats a great idea thank you There isnt anywhere for them, i have the 120mm intake above left blowing across the top of the GPU, and on the top of the cube shaped case blowing down through the radiator i have 2x 120mm fans
  6. I have the Zotac 980 GTX Ti AMP EXTREME in SLI (ill include a picture below) ASUS Maximus Hero VIII board With the size of the cards, there basically touching so the top cards fans are completely blocked off Im getting some really high temps (91 degrees) on the top card, and around 70 on the bottom card when under load Ive had to separate the cards as you can see in the picture to lower the temps Someone mentioned in another thread i cannot use the bottom PCIe slot so my cards would be separated, so im not sure what i can do to fix the temp issue? I have a Lian Li PC-08 case. The 240mm space above the GFX cards is used for my radiator and liquid CPU cooler, and i have a 120mm intake fan above left of the top card (as seen in the picture) All ideas welcomed Thank you
  7. Ill take a better picture so its clearer
  8. Its not the best picture but as you can see they are basically touching as they are that big, ive had to put in something to allow them a little bit of space on the right hand side until i figure a better option out as the top card was hitting 90 degrees as its fans are completely blocked off by the lower card
  9. So i can only use the first 2 PCIe slots for SLI? What can i do to stop the thermal throttling on the GFX cards then? Would i be better with a different mobo, which would allow me to space the cards out?
  10. You can install without a product key. Select no product key when installing, and it will install with the product key from the windows you used to make the USB boot drive
  11. To be clearer, can i use the 4 way SLI bridge with 2 cards, so i can space the cards out
  12. Right i have the Lian Li PC-08 and im using the Zotac 980 GTX Ti AMP EXTREME in SLI on an ASUS Hero VIII mobo Im using PCIe slots 1 and 2, and with the cards being so big, there getting really hot 80-90 degrees I want to use them in slots 1 and 3 so theres some space for air flow Can i use these bridges in either 3 or 4 even though im only using 2 cards in SLI? https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards-Accessory/ROG_Enthusiast_SLI_Bridge/ I dont see it being a problem but just want to be sure? Thanks
  13. Yea gotta be the temps. I have the Zotac 980 GTX Ti AMP EXTREME in SLI I have the Lian Li PC-08, with 8 fans, mix of intake and exhaust. With the cards being so big, they are basically touching, one card stays at about 65-68 under load, and other is hitting 91

  15. I score in the top 4% on all the other 4k tests, scores of 9000-10000, one sec ill run them and post
  16. No its disabled, and settings are all set at gen3
  17. Yea Windows 10 Home 64bit - I'm surprised its failing on my setup, just doesn't make sense I'm really interested why
  18. 368.69 - newest, just literally 2 hours ago done all newest drivers for everything
  19. Just made a new system, and I'm wondering why I'm failing the stress test. I'm getting 9000+ on the other 4k tests, so I'm curious as to why. I haven't overclocked yet as didn't really think it was necessary yet as I run any current games 4k with ease on max settings Any advice would be helpful Spec is listed to the left under my user name Thank you
  20. Right sorry for all the replies but.. Ive just found someone online who said that the 1701 bios update wiped out there Intel raid0 configuations. This could be why it wont boot. Problem is i cant get back into the intel raid settings on post, maybe if i have the boot usb in it will let me? Clutching at straws but sounds viable. Ill give it a go.
  21. So my thoughts are.. try windows boot usb, if that doesnt work, maybe try going back a version of the bios, try 1 GPU, all else fails maybe replace mobo?
  22. Just to add, screen was getting no signal received sporadically before bios update! But flickering was only afterwards
