  1. I only said that pcpp might take the motherboard as not to have a 3.0 header because it's a 3.1 header. Just a little mistake by pcpp if that is the case.
  2. I have now found out, it does have a 3.0 header, and you will be completely fine with that motherboard, the source i trust : https://www.kitguru.net/components/motherboard/luke-hill/asus-rog-strix-z270f-gaming-motherboard-review/3/
  3. That is when it becomes even stranger, depending on where you look, it says something different, i found somewhere that says it has USB 3.1 header, and that would explain why pcpp would say it doesn't have 3.0 header. Though from what i can see after looking closer it should support 3.0, and it would be weird if it didn't. But i don't know what pcpp is doing.
  4. No, i see it too, and i did before i wrote that text. But i don't think it has support of USB 3.0. Though i'm going to find out now.
  5. From what i can see on spec sheet, the motherboard does not have on board USB 3.0 headers, which is meant for connecting front panel USB 3.0 (In front of the case) up to.
  6. I would recommend choosing another motherboard if you want to use USB 3.0 which i highly recommend. But when installing an os via USB i would say do it via an USB 2.0 port for compatibility.
  7. Now one thing i will point out, i'm not able to do any research the next many hours, i am at school now, on a shit computer, and i'm going to work later in the day. So i won't be able to help that much for now.
  8. The thing that has to be though about the 1440p 144hz monitors, is they are very expensive. So just know if you want something propperly, and it should be 1440p and 144hz it's gonna run you at least 500$ And the ones i would be able to recommend is more like 700-800$ If you want an IPS panel then i would say go with the PG279Q, but just remember it has 4ms delay. And if the 4ms delay bothers you, go for the PG278Q, those are the ones i know people that use, and that i use my self, and i haven't really done much researching on the other options, because when we go up to those price points, it really doesn't matter what the cost is, it just needs to be a great product, and when that is considered, i would go with the PG279Q for IPS and PG278Q if you need the 1ms delay.
  9. In this situation i would go for 144hz. But i wouldn't recommend the BenQ one. Has to be noted though, i have no personal experience with BenQ, but there's just something that makes me not trust them, though don't listen to me when it comes to that.
  10. I usually wouldn't recommend doing it that by, but i would expect it to be an driver issue. If you have any other keyboard laying around with a PS/2 port on it, try using that. And i'm not sure how i would go around installing drivers for my keyboard and mouse without being in windows. Have you tried to completely shut down the system then boot it up to as far as it gets, and then shut it down and put the keyboard in a dn turning it on, if not try it, might help though don't expect it to. But just try to test as many ways as you can, that is what would be the most helpful.
  11. Desktop or laptop, and in what way are you trying to factory reset, with a USB install, or maybe a CD. Or are you using the reset feature of windows 10?
  12. Which games do you plan on playing? and is it for the more competitive line of gaming, or more casual?
  13. I use the Noctua NH-D15 at the lowest RPM, can't hear it exept for the moment i start it up, and that is becuase i controll it via the BIOS, and that has to start up first. Great cooler, use it on the i5-4690 non K, and on 300RPM messured by motherboard which i don't trust i don't get over 65 degrees C when at full load. But that is not completely tested and should be taken with a grain of salt.

    Which monitor?

I currently use the Asus PG278Q for my pc, but i'm looking for a cheap 1080p 60hz monitor with low latency and good colours, and decent viewing angles because i'm going to use it for the nintendo switch, and the only other monitor i have is an old tv monitor 720p from 2009, and it's not the best. So i was wondering if anyone can help with it.
  15. I currently have 1 monitor with only one Display port connector in it, and I've got my pre-order of the Nintendo Switch down, but the problem then becomes, i can't connect the Switch to my monitor without using some sort of adapter to convert an HDMI signal to Display Port. But from what i can see the only way to do that is with an active adapter instead of a passive one. But will i be able to use a passive, or maybe a HDMI to Display port cable in it self?
