  1. Just found this beauty https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01BVG71IU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A234MXX8O3EI45 Is that a good choice???
  2. This is surely helpful, and while i can find most parts here in sweden (to save on shipping and vat) DDR4 ram other than corsair vengeance is a bit harder to come by, i can get vengrance ram at 2400 (1x16) or i could order the ram and the motherboard from newegg as that still saves me a few bucks.
  3. Hi my name is styret and i have started to despair at the performance of my computer in recent days, the computer i have now have served me really well but i think it's time for an upgrade. But here comes 2 problems 1 this computer was built by my dad and while he might know a bit more than i know about computer building he ain't a genius either, and this will be the first build (or rather upgrade) i do myself. 2 Money, while i do have some money to spend a maximum of 1000$ would probably be for the best as im still studying and can't really get a good income. First i was thinking of buying a whole new system and selling my old system for around 200€ to a friend but in the end the system might not meet his demands and i might save more from not selling and keeping some parts. Ok so now for the shopping list, i have used the swedish site inet.se as the VAT from US makes it very expensive to order from there and the prices on inet often seem to beat UK prices. Now here is the thing, im a bit of a graphics whore and i was thinking of going a bit more high end but i still have a pretty tight budget for what im aiming at (i have too many demands right ) I was looking to keep my old psu, ram, case and hdd, and from what i checked the ram is ddr3 although a bit on the slower side (i think it was 1300~), the psu supports 620w so that shouldn't be a problem. So now for the new parts and what i really need help with. I was thinking of buying a gtx 1070, msi-gaming-970 motherboard and a amd FX 8350 processor (my friend told me that from his experience AMD cpu's often required water cooling but that was a tad bit too expensive so i looked at the version often 8350 which has a better fan, the "wraith i think it's called). While im not really an AMD fanboy it seems like AMD cpu's are a bit cheaper and also like Intel is playing monopoly with pricing right now becuse they don't have any real competition. I have asked around about this and lots of ppl have told me "fuck THAT go THAT instead" or "this one is muuuuch better" and while i value these ppl's opinions it feels like most of them are heavily favoring one side over the other. So now after this looooong wall of text that probably didn't tell u that much i need you'r help, with anything really. Will my build workout with my old parts mixed with new? do i need extra cooling? should i use some other part? is an AMD cpu really as bad as iv'e heard and are there alternatives i can switch to that will be around the same pricepoint? any tips at all really , and as i said it is also my first time building a PC so any advice on that would be greatly appriciated I would like to thank you for reading through this wall of text and tell you that im sorry for any spelling errors, and as im not the expert any advice will be welcomed with open arms. Thanks in beforehand: Styret
