  1. as i said, not really looking for an upgrade, just curious asa to if it really was that old now. thanks though
  2. im not really looking to upgrade as im just going to get a fairly decent laptop for uni as i wont be too many games at all, i was just more curious as to if my CPU was really that old nowerdays
  3. Recently when playing games with my friends(so i also have discord running) i have been experiencing lag spikes and task manager says my CPU (i5 4460) is maxed out. Battlefield 1 and 5 are the main culprits (they are unplayable when discord or other applications are open), however other games that i have played recently e.g. sea of thieves and the forest have a couple of bad lag spikes occasionally and CPU usage is around 85%. my friend built his PC at the same time as me and has a marginally better i5 CPU from the same generation and hasn't experienced many lag spikes. Is my CPU just old and past its best or should i try to fix it and if so how? I have a GTX 1070 so i don't imagine that to be the bottleneck Thanks for the replies, i'm just getting a laptop soon for uni so i just wondered if there was a quick fix to make these last few months of playing games with my mates a bit of aetter experience
  4. I have 2560 by 1440p monitor and none of the themes fit correctly on chrome. any help?
  5. i bought the adapter linked further up but the mic doesn't want to work. (the headphones work btw)
  6. oh, i found it in the windows settings. but when i change it doesn't let me apply
  7. will I need some sort of driver of the Asus website or do I use Realtek, I don't normally use that because having windows audio settings and related at the same time messes up.
  8. no problem cheers mate
  9. if I can buy it from England ill get that one, and have u got an answer to my bass problem?
  10. I have a hyper X cloud 2 and I use the USB dongle for the 7.1 surround virtual sound but I have found it sounds a lot nicer listening to music and games through the 3.5mm jack and am willing to trade virtual surround sound for better sound quality overall but I need an adapter from a female combo jack to a headphone male and microphone male. I don't want to get one that will break immediately or ruin my experience. any ideas? P.S how do I increase bass, my advanced audio settings doesn't quite match the others in the tutorials on the internet.
  11. its still doing the same thing when i go through CMD and when i go into system settings
