So I have an amd athlon x4 860k and i have it overclocked to 3.9ghz instead of stock 3.7. I was playing dota today and as i started to feel my desk vibrating, and i felt the computer getting really hot and the fan just going crazy, so i checked the temps on core temp and it said it was 39 degrees c. and the fan is going nuts when ever im in game, is there a problem with the heat detection or something?

You know those trucks/range rovers that are always seen in videos driving through a really deep puddle (deep enough to fit half the car)? how does that not ever mess up their engine components? Like wouldnt an alternator die if it got alot of water on it? and if the air intake system sucked in water wouldnt that blow the bottom of the engine out when it tries to compress? like are these cars just made to take shit like this lol

I want it to sort of be a sleeper car. I don't really care too much about aesthetics. My plan is just to mod it more and more as time goes on and as I learn more and more about how to add components and stuff like that Right now the car doesn't really need any servicing from what I know. The coolant, oil, and trans fluid have all been changed in the past 3-4 years according to my dad. (oil still has 60% life from a few months ago) Basically my goal is to smoke all the bmws and decent cars that are at my school, or at least keep up with them.. do you guys think coilovers would be a good idea? I heard they improve handling. And I will think about adding exhaust

I've had the 2007 pontiac g5 my dad gave me for a while now, and I think I'm ready to start modding it. I was thinkig of starting with a cold air intake, or something that doesn't need too too much work and complex stuff to do. Any thoughts? only thing i dont really wanna do is add an exhaust, or anything too complex to install

Alright, i got the m keys to work, and even tho this keyboard is a weird one, its one of the best ive ever used. Honestly ima keep it and maybe ill sell it in a year and use the g710+ logo as a marketing scheme to get more money lol but for real this thing is like a dream come true

yea they're all cherry mx blues, but the keyboard says g710+ for some reason. (i took the caps off). Like i dont really care about the m1 m2 m3 or mr keys cuz i dont use them but its weird that this keyboard came like this

So for the past few days I've been getting text msgs asking me if I wanted 300$ a month to wrap my car and kinda make it a moving ad for some company, and I finally caved and emailed the email they sent me and got this as a response.so after reading it I started thinking about how this was probably some bullshit, & i went and googled the company, and sure enough it turned out to be real. but then right as I almost caved to thinking this was legit (never seen or dealt with this type of scam before) I found this post by someone else who had dealt with ithttp://www.ivetriedthat.com/2013/10/05/ive-tried-that-readers-what-should-i-do-about-this-car-wrap-advertising-scam/dude, this tops the scams I've seen, like what the fuck. It's so clever, you send a check in cuz everyone thinks those are legit, then when you cash the check in and take your money out of your account and give them it, the check bounces (because it's fake) and the only one left shit outta luck committing fraud is you, and by the time you're found the guy is long gone with your moneys. the guy basically uses this weird tactic of giving you money to use for your "car wrap service" and for him, and when that happens you give him legit money, but then after a while when the bank takes that fake ass check money back you basically gave him your moneyI gotta hand it to who ever made this, other than the fact that it looks wicked shady when I get texts telling me I can make 300$ for my shitty ass car to get wraped in paint, (it needs a paintjob anyways) it looked pretty convincing.The things that marked a red flag for me:- no phone number on the email anywhere, so i couldn't talk to anyone directly (always a sign of some bullshit)- and the company kinda seemed too ambitious to give me money for basically nothing

So some friends and I were out at night driving (saturday night turn up) and at one point, Not sure when it was, but for a good like 5-10 minutes of driving partially on a high way, the ebrake was up a little bit. It wasnt up that much, but it was to the point where it would bog the car down a slight bit. But since we had music playing I couldnt hear the warning sound and for some reason the light with the red ! on it didnt come on. So we got to a stop and when I tried to move again the car felt slow and I heard the faint beeping and put the ebrake down.. I just wanted to ask, how much potential damage did I do to my car, or 'break wear'. Usually i dont do this, but it happened since i put the ebrake up so much to hold the car on hills, or drive thrus that are pointing downhill (this was the case) so i dont slam into someone while stopped and the car is in neutral.

So I have this gateway monitor that i dont know the model of, but its relatively old. Like its resolution is 1024x768, and i use it as a second monitor for movies and stuff like that while im playing games. Anyways, for the past few months its been turning on and off on its own when I turn it on, and it does that for about 5minutes before it finally stays on. But today it wont stop turning on and off. the monitor will turn on, and like instantly turn off, and when i say turn off i mean like shut down, and then it repeats after like 1 second. its really weird and im not sure why its happening. If you guys have delt with things like this, advice would be greatly appreciated. also, im using vga to connect it, but my gpu doesnt have a vga connector so i use dvi to vga adapter my setup http://pcpartpicker.com/list/RHkksY
