  1. Man, some of y'all have some really bad takes and zero understanding of how posting to social media for a company suffers from just you doing it individually. Also most social media people aren't also expected to film, plan and edit additional content for those company's side project. You literally doing exactly what she was talking about because you view it as the easy "fun job". Not to also mention her comments are also in line with the whole ongoing conversation about LTT's work output. Lastly I see people way too many people being completely dismissive of her talking about being inappropriately grabbed, and really need to learn more about what's inappropriate. It doesn't have to just be sexual to be inappropriate, it doesn't have to be sexual to be illegal either. I can't believe how many of you don't understand this, touching someone without their consent is still harassment and still inappropriate in a work environment. Seriously man, how do you not get that? The fact that so many people don't understand that gives more weight to her assertions imo. Also, she's young and a singular individual. Actonhf like it's weird to talk about all this now when there's other criticisms being level at LTT is just riding hard for them for no reason. You really need to step back and think more critically instead of jumping to defend them. I've seen so many people get hurt at jobs over years and not tell anyone because they were afraid of the potential ramifications of they reported it and they needed the job. There's a huge power dynamic at play here, and an individual speaking out against a larger entity and their fanbase that's quick to defend them is not easy.
  2. So, I bought a MSI Ventus 2080 in Feburary. It's a good card, but in hindsight I probably would have spent more money on a better cooler but oh well. The fans are very loud during gaming, and the temps are a bit toasty. As a result, I'm planning on buying EVGA's hybrid cooler kit. With that said, I've neve taken apart a GPU before, let alone replaced the cooler. Is there anything that I should know/be cautious of? Thanks in advance.
  3. As long as I use GPU Tweak and load the settings I set, it's fine. If it's not open in defaults to this super aggressive downclock.
  4. So, I recently picked up a used Fury, and whenever I play a game on it throttles down to 300MHz once it hits 84c, and the fans don't pick up speed to compensate. I never seen a card with such an aggressively low fan speed, they sit around 20%. Is this normal? I did download GPU Tweak and set a clockspeed with the fans at 50% and it holds it just fine, and the fans are barely audible at that speed. So I know the card is fine in terms of performance, I just don't know why a card would downclock so harshly by default instead of just ramping up fan speed.
  5. I'm curious as to if they have HDR support of their display ports. Considering the current market, I'm going to have to settle for one of these cards. They're both around 1070 performance and can be had for around 400ish it less with a bit of patience. HDR support is one thing I would really like to have, but I don't know if it's mainly just the newer generations that support it.
  6. Sounds very shady, especially considering how much cards are going for now. More than likely a scam, or not working.
  7. I swapped the dimm slot and left my PC on overnight, and it didn't turn off. My issue seem,s to be fixed, thanks man. Never would have thought of something so simple haha Edit: Welp, I celebrated too soon it just didn't again.
  8. God, it might be the RAM. I looked it up and it is not listed on the compatibility list of my motherboard. I hope it's just that
  9. So, this is the RAM I have. https://pcpartpicker.com/mr/newegg/GCJtt6
  10. I did, the GPU and PSU are the only thing I reused. I thought the RAM would be a given.
  11. Alright, I recently ungraded my core platform. I went from an FX 8300 and an ASRock 970m Pro 3 to a R5 1500X and the Aurous X370 K7. My GPU and PSU are the same in both cases, an 4GB Powercolor R9 380 and a Corsair CX600M. I have not done any overclocking on the CPU or GPU what so ever. I ran a stress test on my CPU to see if it was maybe shutting off because of heat, and it was only about 63C under a load test after 20 minutes. I did the same with my GPU and it hovered about 76ish after around the same time. I don't assume it's a power issue, as my old 8300 was overclocked and surely had to be drawing more power. I don't get a blue screen or anything like that, my PC just suddenly shuts off. Thefans stop spinning, but the white LED along my power button stays lit along with the power LED on my motherboard. I have no idea what could be causing it at this point.
  12. So, I can't find anything about the Freesync Range at all. So, I was wondering the if anyone here happened to know it.
  13. Anyone know a good place to find them? I live in Idaho, so Craigslist is a joke for any kind of electronic and the prices people want for Ebay are too damn high. I just want a reasonably price Fury, non X and a 4GB 380 that doesn't cost as much as a new 480.
  14. I'm debating on a new monitor to upgrade from my current 1080 panel. 4K, is a bit out of my range I have around 250 usd to spend. I'm mainly debating on if I should go for 2560x1080 for for 1440p. If you have any suggestions, its be greatly appreciated. Freesync would be a nice added bonus of its possible at this price point.
