  1. That is a very gorgeous computer, very clean and nice colour scheme. I'm kinda curious as to what you do with so much computing power?
  2. Installing a fresh Windows on your PC just got one step shorter! When windows 10 first came out, I worked really hard to kill her, but the lengths Microsoft would go to re-enable that garbage was mind boggling. She would always randomly come back until I renamed her app folder and then she finally shut up and stopped slowing down my PC.
  3. I'm curently debatingbetween the monitor you sugested and a dell AW3418DW. They're exactly what I'm looking for. I'll see how game runs once the monitor i choose arrives, i'll upgrade my video card if necessary. Thanks for your input.
  4. Hello everyone and thank you for helping out. As the tittle says, I accidentally broke my dell u3011. That monitor served me very well for almost a full decade but the screen is now cracked and it’s not worth fixing. Im attempting to do some research on my phone to find a good replacement but thé tiny screen plus having to type with my thumb is driving me nuts. My PC has a 2700k @ 4.44ghz and a 1070ti that’s slightly oc and I really enjoyed my experience with that setup. The only thing I wish it had was a higher refresh rate. I mostly do work with my computer and some gaming. I’d like a better refresh rate because I did notice some tearing in fast paced games. Id like to replace my broken u3011 with a ultra-wide 34inch (ballpark) monitor with equal or better screen quality. What I’m worried about is the fact that most ultra wide are 1440p and I’ve grown fond of my 1600p résolution and I may regret it later if I buy a 1440p. I couldn’t find any store with 1440 and 1600 available to compare them side by side. I’m hoping someone can help me with that question. I have a 1500$ budget for the new monitor. Thanks!
  5. Thank you for the responses everyone, i didn't have enough time to reply yesterday. I ended up buying a blu-ray writer and that did the trick. I recovered almost every frame of the video footage without any errors. I'm only missing a few minutes of the footage and thank god they are not game footage. I did try to rub the disc with banana, didn't seem to help. That comment from goodbytes got me thinking, i tried the disk in my ps3 and it worked flawlessly. Thanks again!
  6. Here's my story. My year high school football team is gathering up this upcoming January after a decade following our own separate paths. We'd very much like to display the team highlights, we won every game including the gold bowl that year, however, every disk my teammates have handed me are damaged and I'm unable to retrieve any more data out of them. 50% of the data is unreadable. This is what I've tried so far to repair the disks: toothpaste, shaving cream, compound. Nothing seems to get the scratches off of the disk so far. Those are the programs i've used to try and extract data: recover disk, recovery toolbox and a few more i can't remember. Your help would be appreciated! I believe I will have to resort to get the data professionally extracted however I have no clues where to find an honest and reliable company/person to accomplish the task where i live (north shore of Laval in Quebec).
