  1. I was browsing/stalking the G14 website and saw that bestbuy Canada had a listing for the new G14 so I decided to check it out https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/asus-rog-zephyrus-g14-14-gaming-laptop-grey-amd-ryzen-7-4800hs-512gb-ssd-16gb-ram-gtx-1660ti-en/14575596 This model has a ryzen 7, 512gb ssd and 1660 ti for about 1700$ which is pretty respectable and probably what ill end up getting https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/asus-rog-zephyrus-g14-14-gaming-laptop-grey-amd-ryzen-9-4900hs-1tb-ssd-16gb-ram-rtx-2060-en/14575597 But why does this model cost 800$ more??? I know its a ryzen 9 and upgraded to a 2060 but I'm pretty sure the US equivalent comes out to around $2000 cad. It's not even the 4k version it's FHD 120Hz
  2. I picked up what I think is a pretty good deal for them, about 250 cad for a lightly used pair. Just wanted to know people's opinions on them since I'm trying to find a replacement for my Vmoda m100 (may they rest in peace).
  3. A PSU is something you probably shouldn't cheap out on. A cheap/faulty PSU can destroy other components in your computer so it's better to stick with reliable brands.
  4. Full size is definitely a must. Any particularly reason why these keyboards are so expensive? They look pretty standard to me just curious where all that money's going.
  5. No budget, as long as its reasonably priced for the keyboard i'm getting so no $1000+ type writer esque keyboards for example. As long as it's quality.
  6. I think just about everyone in my life is tired of my clicky blues and wants me to get a new keyboard. Any recommendations for someone who types a lot. My only experience has been with Kaihl and Cherry blues so I don't particularly prefer them rather i'm just used to them.
  7. Thank you all for the replies! So would a liquid cpu cooler be alright or should I remove that too?
  8. I am moving my computer into a new apartment and wanted to know the best way to transport it there. It's going to be a several hour drive and I kept the original box for my case that came in fairly sturdy packaging, but what should I be concerned about regarding the internals. Also, would using the amazon air bag packaging inside the pc be enough?
  9. I work from home and am looking for a chair that I can comfortably sit in for 6+ hours. Preferably nothing over 1000.
  10. I do a lot of 3D modelling and graphics work so I need to expand my storage although i'm hesitant to commit 12tb to seagate as a few of my friends have told me seagate isn't reliable enough. The files I will store on these drives are for work and school and I need to be confident that the drives I buy will last 4 years at the minimum. So far my options are to buy 2 6tb seagate barracuda drives by RAID (still need to learn how) or 2 WD black 6tb drives in the same fashion. The WD black's are considerably more expensive as the seagates are going to run me about 450 after taxes while WD is gonna be closer to 650 so is the 200 more i'm spending contributing to the reliability or am I just paying for a longer warranty.
  11. So do you think I should still at least consider all the hardware problems they have had in the past with their laptops? Or should I just take my chances and get it?
  12. The $2000 doesn't include taxes, warranty, shipping or anything like that. It can be $2000 on the dot
  13. I'm a student I need it to play casual games, like Minecraft, CS: GO stuff like that. Needs to last a full school day,so like 6-8 hours. 5-6 hours is the minimum No cheap materials, I had my Asus laptop break on me because of it's cheap plastic covering My budget is $2000 cad (Approximately $1500 USD)
  14. I want to know if this computer is going to stick with me for at least 2 years I am looking for a very good and powerful windows computer, and I have decided to get the Dell XPS 15. The only problem is, I have people who are telling me that Dell products aren't very reliable and the XPS 15 line seems to have a lot of hardware issues. Is this true? if so can you recommend another laptop in a similar price range: http://www.dell.com/ca/p/xps-15-9550-laptop/pd?oc=nxps15550_ft_b1630e&l=en&s=dhs
  15. Let's say DOOM 2016 on ultra settings, 4k at ~60fps
