  6. Get a better psu like Seasonic S12II, Corsair CX450M/CX550M, XFX TS.
  7. Just get her a 250GB SSD for about the same price. I doubt the faster read/write is that essential. And why the $300 founders edition when an aftermarket variant that's ~$50 cheaper is better in every aspect? 10. So sorry fam. Had I known it didn't have a backplate, I wouldn't have placed it on the list I made - yeah, even at a discounted price. The cheaper Gigabyte 1060 Windforce had a backplate on it so I assumed it's the same with its bigger brother.
  11. It's the newer version of that same board with added LED.
  12. The Asus Pro Gaming is out of stock on newegg. Please keep the SK Hynix SSD, if I were to pick one that isn't an 850 EVO - I'd get the Hynix or Crucial MX300. "The SK hynix SL308 trails the 850 Evo in some aspects, but it is the first serious product to close the gap." -TomsHardware
  13. 16. So do you need an entirely new pc? What's your budget? Any parts (ex storage, psu, case) you want to keep? Get a Haswell cpu and LGA 1150 mobo if you want him to keep the DDR3 ram.
