  1. Hi everyone, So I am looking for a new laptop and the HP victus 16-e0307nd caught my I because I can get it for around 700 euro's. It has a ryzen 5 a 3050 with 4GB VRAM, so it handles pretty much anything I need at 1080p at the lowest settings. However I am wondering about the usb c port on it. I would like to know if you can charge the laptop via this port? It does have a lightning bolt logo next to it and on the HP website it says it can carry a displayport signal. And I would also like to know if the battery will last you longer than a few hours if you only watch youtube on it? Does anyone have any experience with the Victus laptops from HP? And if so would this be a good price for the value you get? Thank you in advance
  2. Thanks for the heads-up on the case, I will try and look for something more airflowy. What about the build itself?
  3. Budget (including currency): I would like to stay under 1800 euro's Country: Germany/ euro's Hi everyone, So currently I have a PC with a i5- 6500 and a 1060 6gb with a 4k monitor. Mostly a work pc and when I get the chance, I play games like Elden Ring, God of War, GTA V, The Witcher 3 and Apex legends. I have always been running stuff at 1080p 60-ish fps. What I would like to get out of a new PC is running anything at 1440p 100-120 fps (not something like cyberpunk) for the gaming part. I also work with gigabytes of text/excel files running lots of SQL queries, for which I like this new PC to be able to run these queries with little to no effort. I want to build the PC listed below because of the following: PCPartPicker Part List: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/Fp9JbK CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor (€235.45 @ Computeruniverse) CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock 2 Black CPU Cooler (€39.63 @ Amazon Deutschland) Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 GAMING X V2 ATX AM4 Motherboard (€104.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (€59.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Storage: Crucial MX500 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€96.89 @ Alternate) Storage: Western Digital Blue SN570 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (€96.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB EAGLE Video Card (€818.71 @ Caseking) Case: NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case (€77.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Power Supply: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€114.55 @ Computeruniverse) Total: €1644.83 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2022-03-19 The CPU, although I'm not certain of my research (which is why I would like to post my build here), because it would seem that it could more than handle most workloads and the games will not be bottle necked as much by the CPU. But please correct me if I'm wrong. The GPU for what I can find on amazon.de the 6700XT seems the best bang for your buck. It also draws way less Power, which I find really impressive compared to something to like a 3070Ti (which is my other option I have been researching), for a bit less performance, but overall also a bit cheaper. The mobo because it has a front usb-c header and seemed like the best price for a b550 (I don't think I will be overclocking). Storage I would like to still have a SATA SSD, because if necessary I would like to use it in other PC's that don't have m.2. But I still want a m.2 SSD and from what I found these 2 will do just fine, but if there is something faster for a comparable price, please let me know. I already own 2x8 vengeance 3200mhz DDR 4 sticks, so I will keep using these, unless I could get more performance out of something like 3600mhz sticks. The case because it has a front usb-c header and looks clean. The PSU is fully modular which I want, gold+ and best price I could find for the wattage you get. As addition I would like the pc to be as quiet as possible for the budget. I also would like to know, for the types of games mentioned if an NVDA or AMD card is preferable, as for monitor I really don't know what to get other than that I want to play at 1440p at 100-120 fps. And with the AMD zen 4 coming this year I would like to know if it's maybe worth waiting and if the mobo mentioned will be able to use the new CPU's? Thank you in advance!
  4. Something like apex legends on low/mid settings 1080 240 fps? and gtav / tomb raider at mid 4k 60 fps?
  5. I think waiting is the best option, didn't know we were that close of big navi releasing. Which means prices of most cards and cpu's will drop even furter. I mean nowadays we get a new something every half year. So I think waiting would only help in getting a good deal on something like a 5700xt, or even better if the navi cards are priced similarly. Thanks for the heads up.
  6. Okok, and what about if i wanted to try for 1080p 240 hz, would a rx5700 xt be good enough to get those 240 fps?
  7. Hello everyone, I am looking to build a new PC with the AMD 500 series mobo's coming out, which have the usb -c header I need for my case, and don't break the bank like the x series mobo's. I want to pair it with a Ryzen 3600, or wait until the 4000 series come out this year. My question like the title, what would be the best and cheapest GPU to pair with for 1080p 144hz monitors? I am using amazon.de, so europe pricing. Any help is appreciated.
  8. Hello everyone So I have a build below, I already have the necessary storage and I'm using my old 1060 6gb. The mobo listed (which I can get for around 150 euros), is a great value and come with great I/O (ps2, usb c on the back, at least 1 gen 2 usb port) and options, and because I want to use my case (which also comes at a good value) with the USB C port, I need an internal usb header, which this mobo has. However I have several problems: I want to use the ryzen 3600 with this mobo, but I can't be certain of how to update the bios if needed. Second I can't find a single x570 mobo with similar I/O and options as this particular mobo for this price. If I'm not mistaken none of the b450 mobo's come with a type c header. For some reason I find myself looking at Intel mobo's, because here they are cheaper than AMD mobo's and with lots ore I/O options. Why AMD? Because 3600 . I mean is there even that big of a difference between 470 and 570? Or just wait and see what b550 has to offer?(if it even comes out) In short I would like to be able to use all the options of the ryzen 3600 and the NZXT case. I wish for a mobo's that gives me all these possibilities at less than 180 euros. Thanks for your help. 9. Currently named monitor is on sale for 300 euro's. I wanna use the monitor for multitasking, a bit of gaming, but priority goes to: I want better quality for viewing stuff. Is the monitor for 300 ok? Does someone have experience with this particulor monitor, or AOC? Is it any good? Thanks in advance.
  10. So I got an advertised internet speed of 50 down and 10 up. I got a router from my ISP, which for the pc on the ground floor, that is connected via a tp link extender via the router, works fine and gets a stable 20 mbps down almost all of the time. However, I have 2 pc's on the 1 st floor that are connect via the tp link extender (the av 500), but cuts out a lot of the time, also the speeds are always below 10 mpbs. I don't understand if it's the router that is having an issue keeping up or the extender. Also I can't get the extenders configured, so devices connected to the network can switch seamlessly between the extenders. I gave all network devices the same name and password, when I turn the wifi on and off on my phone and stand closer next to an extender than the other, it connects to the one closest. Does anyone have an idea as to these 2 questions? Thanks in advance
  11. Dunno why, but that was not what I selected xD. Changed it now. Just to make sure, I will try buying 2 of the single rank and put the 2 of them in dual channel in the mobo
  12. So I found this stick of ram for just 50 euros: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07HP8PVVH/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&th=1 but can i buy 2 and run them as dual channel or does it have to say dual rank or something?? Thanks!
  13. So I'm building a pc for 1080p gaming and not above 120 herz. It shall be used for games like cyberpunk 2077, FPS games, anthem and some light photoshopping/drawing. I'm still waiting for the ryzen 5 to drop back to 150-ish euros. I chose for the 570 (it says 204 euros in the list, but on amazon I found new ones for 170 euros) because the 580 is at least 50 euros more expensive, because I couldn't find any 580 for under 220 euros. Also the performance increase is around 10% from what I found and I wont pay a third extra for that. I will not use any expansion slots, so I opted for a mATX board, because it's cheaper. Also RAM, I'm well aware that higher MHz means more fps, but I refuse to pay more than 110 euros for 16GB of 3000 MHz ram. I believe 8 GB is enough for now and I found 2666 MHz for 50 euro's. I would like to know what you guys think. Did I mess some combination of parts up? Or will this run the aforementioned games smoothly? Also if anyone found something cheaper/better I would love to know. Thans in advance. 14. Is this monitor just not that popular or is it just me??

    Asus MG28UQ

So I got this monitor knowing full well it's a TN panel and it costing 350 euros. However, after taking the first looking booting it up on a black background I noticed the following: 1. The right side of the screen is significantly brighter than the left. (This is very clear when looking from the top, less so when sitting directly across the screen.) 2. There are vertical black bars visible at several points in the panel. The one on 4 centimeters from the left side is especially visible (I've included 2 pictures, one from the top and one sitting, they are more visible in real life, but what bothers me even more, they are quite clear even with a picture of the screen). 3. The back light bleed is ok-ish. But here, it's more significant on the left side of the screen. Personally these 3 points make the prices hard to swallow. Also, my computer boots faster into windows than the monitor showing anything. My computer takes 12 seconds to boot. the monitor kicks in after about 8 seconds. Does anyone have this same issue? If not then it means I have defective unit. Thanks in advance
  16. Dear everyone, since ram prices are varying right now (in a better/cheape way), I was wondering if these sticks of ram are good or not for their price https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B016BWEQYG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&psc=1. Since 32 gigs is overkill for my system, I wanna use 2 sticks in another system so 2 x 8 in one and the rest in the other. I think the Mhz doesn't matter, cuz I'm planning for a ryzen 5 2600 with a b450 mobo with a rx 580. Just some casual gaming. The second i still have to plan. Thanks in advance.
  17. So I just got a new bookstyle case with a magnet in in for closing the case. But when I'm in landscape mode watching TechLinked for example and I cover the proximity sensor with my hand or swipe a pen in front of it, my G6 turns off the screen like with the quick cover case. I want to disable this and I haven't found anything online or a setting for this on the G6. If anyone has a solution I would love to hear it. Thanks in advance.
  18. So my LG G3 finally gave in after a good 4 years of service. Now I'm looking for a replacement, but I absolutely DISGUST every single phone that has a notch, so that leaves on the S9 right? Maybe, but I would love a phone that could last a full day of moderately high use, has great extra features like an infrared blaster and expandable storage. I'm looking in between 300 to 500 euro's from for example Amazon DE. I think the LG G6 would be a great choice but it has quite an old snapdragen 821 and outdated software(don't like manually installing Oreo, but I can if I have to, don't prefer it though) and just like my LG G3 I would like it to last at least 3 years. Opinions, thoughts? Share them please.
  19. So I just wanted to know what you guys' experiences were between a bk009 vs bk008 vs hyper 212 evo? What gives the best performances relative to price?
  20. First of all I would like to know if you should replace your thermal paste every so often? 2nd I want to replace my stock Intel cooler for something like a be quiet BK008 or 9 or a 212, but will they fit in the corsair spec-02? I checked the dimensions, but I want to see if no one else had any compatibility issues, ATX mobo. 3rd which cooler would you recommend under like 35 euros, yes i only have a 6500 but It seems the fan's starting to run faster these past few weeks. Main reason I want an after market cooler is noise level. I want it to be silent yet effective, so I was thinking a bk008. Please tell me about your experience with these coolers, Thanks in advance.
  21. Thanks for all the replies guys, I tested my cpu and under load it stay's below around 78 degrees. I guess I will hold off buying an aftermarket cooler
  22. I get what you mean. But I don't think having my cpu almost 10 hours a day on 50+ degrees would be a good idea.
  23. So I have a 6500 on a Z170 HD3P gigabyte mobo. Usually I run Nox (android emulator) in the background, which takes atleast 20% of my cpu, which on idle is around 5-10% while browsing chrome. And now with the bit hotter weather coming, my cpu goes all the way to 50 degrees, when reaching around 50% utilizations, since I also have other programmer stuff going on. So in short, I'm looking for a silent yet atleast medium cooling capabilities. Silence above performance (atleast better than the intel stock cooler). I have a midtower case (spec-02) so space is not a problem. I would like to not spend more than 50 euros max. I think an AIO would be too expensive and also over the top. Thanks like always
